that's awesome. Mountain biking is the way to create world peace. Its nice to hear everybody goofing off and having fun. I'm black and there arent alot of black people that mountain bike. I feel like we are few and far between. But everywhere i have been, I have always met cool people who share the same passion.
Thomas Winfree I few black guys offered my friend and I a ride up to the top of a trail system last weekend. first time I saw black mountain bikers. they were fully padded up with some sick bike too. they were hard core lol
You are spot on, Thomas! We have quite a few Mexican and Filipino groups that I see out on the trails locally, and it always brings a smile to my face to know a whole new group of people have found this awesome sport and they'll pass it along to the next generation. Mountain biking is so damn expensive, physically difficult and mentally straining that the barrier to entry is very high. It takes someone that has already done it a thousand times to mentor a newbie and say "I know it sucks right now, but you're gonna have a blast eventually."
Thomas Winfree I gotta agree. I'm brown and my trail experience encountering other Mtbers has been 99% positive. The 1% hasn't ruined my thoughts about everyone else.
I'm not sure. I was only pointing out how great the mtb community is regardless of skin color. I ride solo alot and I run into alot of people and they have all been awesome.
I live in Alaska now but lived in Saint George Utah for many years. Even in Alaska, I have never seen the views that southern Utah can provide. Anyone looking to bike ride or just sight see, will not leave disappointed! You showed it all in this video. Great job!
Rode there about 15 years ago. It made such an impression that while watching this video, I can still remember some of the sections and of course the view. It was a well kept secret back then. We camped on top under the stars. Great memories, thanks for reminding me how awesome it was.
Hey me too! I don't remember any white marks. it was pretty much a secret, yet heavily hyped by my riding buddies from SLC. I was a little underwhelmed at the time. I imagine things have been rerouted and tuned. Looks super fun now.
Bro, The valley shot (@8:07 & 11:14) are so beautiful. Our sport has the plus of super rad places to see that most people don't get to because their stuck inside. Keep bringing the awesome sights and remember to Live-Life-Loud!!!
Fantastic video and area. One of your best. Love watching these with my teenage daughter. She loves Mountain biking. Plus Thanks for not dropping the F.. bomb.
Bkxc changed my life man , mtb hitting the trails is pretty much what I think about most day and like when I see Bri on the trails I think "mmmm let me find a similar trail here in the UK , then I go out , find somewhere to ride and I'm happy man , thanks again Bri 👍🏽👍🏽
I watch your videos while I'm in my Architecture studio. It's torture, but also enlightening because I can't really go out riding due to projects, but watching you makes me feel like I'm riding,.
Brian, I have to tell you, you are getting smoother and smoother on the bike in technical stuff. Do you think it is the repetition of riding or the time with an instructor that helped the most? Best MTB video from a view perspective. Unreal beauty!
Wow that's awesome stuff!!! I live in Australia and have ridden quite a few MTB trails here but nothing compares to this! Those views!!! Fantastic riding guys, well done!
Dude this is so awesome, it's so different from where I ride. Here it's all forest, tight trees, tons of roots, and very little actual elevation change. I would've loved to have gone on this trip. Maybe next time...
All of your videos are amazing! However, I love the ones that I am familiar with. We spend time in St. George and Hurricane Utah every year and Gooseberry Mesa is on the list. You have definitely done it justice and some!
Man, I watch your videos one after the other while I'm working in my office.. I ride a MTB for my commute to work.. you being one of my inspirations.. keep it up, man.. Love from India.. 😊
That was just amazing! I don't think I've seen the rock plus such amazing scenery in your other rocky vids. I'm absolutely dying to get out and ride some of that rock. Looked like a hard earned 1500ft of elevation too!
I camped at Gooseberry for 3 days and rode it like 10 years ago on a 26" hardtail haha the last day I snapped my collar bone in half and waited for the trip to end to go back to the hospital lol. Didn't want to cut the trip short for anyone lol! Now I want to go back and smash it on a proper bike now.
Woooaaahh!! Seems epic Brian! Right on the edge of everything and never giving up. Funny, I was at the local trails and there was this steep road to the entry, and never did it before. So I thought to do it this time, want to progress on something everyday now. Hit it and I was like talking to myself all the time, boosting up, and your favourite words hit my mouth "Pain & Pleasure". It was after the climb that I realized what they actually meant - the pain you have to endure during such sections, and the pleasure that it gives when you have done it :) You and Alex just keep motivating!
It's crazy cos like 25 years ago and from a young age I've loved bmx ,Matt Hoffman DAVE Mira (rip) Ryan Nyquist and motocross with a passion , I never looked at the mountain bikes as they weren't on X games haha , and now mtb is like a hobby and bmx is just something I watch on tv if it's crap outside man 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 😂😂
You're welcome! Your videos are such an inspiration to go riding. I am used to do XC and marathon with a focus on racing, however with family and work time's limited for training, so just having fun on the trails becomes more of a focus :) I remember back in the days (almost 20 years ago) as a student in Austria being out there searching for trails ... hope I find the time to do more of this again ... for the time being I'll follow you channel and enjoy your videos!
Man that was really epic stuff to watch! Oh I would love to be there riding that \m/ Hey Brian, you have climbed that like a mountain goat dude, respect!
Me too! Hey Brian have you heard of Tutti Frutti Trails in Italy? Here take a look www.carosello3000.com/en/summer-news-and-events-filter/mountain-bike/item/tuttifrutti-backstage#.WQ4w6rzytPM
you really showed your fitness in thus one. all the rapid burst you had to do to climb the rock faces. I enjoyed this one a bunch. I would love to get you out in pa. reading area. we have the riding. French Creek, Mt Penn, Marsh Lake, Trexler,Noxamixion, and 2 others I can't think of. just a thought to put in the back of your head. thx again. #positivemotovation
Hey Brian, do you remember what was the size of the tires that you used back there? ...btw I'm quite happily surprised that you replied to my comment! I came across one of your videos just a week ago and right now, your channel is the only thing that I'm watching on RUclips. I envy you (in the good way) so much about the fact that you are living in the States - so many great trails and unlimited options (I believe Canada is just the same)

Thats awesome. I think if more people would try it they would see how much fun it really is
I'm not sure. I was only pointing out how great the mtb community is regardless of skin color. I ride solo alot and I run into alot of people and they have all been awesome.

LOVE to hear it, Paul!
I watch your videos while I'm in my Architecture studio. It's torture, but also enlightening because I can't really go out riding due to projects, but watching you makes me feel like I'm riding,.
That's awesome, Isais!
That was amazing! "The Goose"! Again making those uphills smooth Brian. Thank you for another bucket list ride. 👍
Glad to hear the bucket list is getting longer!

And it will be a glorious end as long as they find the GoPro.

Hahaha nice one
BKXC I seriously cringe every time you do that ha
i have had that cane creek db inline shock for almost 6 months and it has been perfect. no squeaking at all.
Awesome! Always different scenarios and sillyness with any product!
Awesome scenery, trails, fun group and good food. It's a complete package!
It really was the complete package!!
Love watching your videos. I Can't ride anymore because of health issues but watching your videos is the next best thing. Keep up the great work !
Sorry to hear that Brent but I'm glad I can help keep the fire burning!
Brian, I have to tell you, you are getting smoother and smoother on the bike in technical stuff. Do you think it is the repetition of riding or the time with an instructor that helped the most? Best MTB video from a view perspective. Unreal beauty!
It's just more time riding and trying to get better, I think!
This terrain looks insanely fun! Also, I agree with the comments about how smooth your riding is getting
Thanks dude. It was a ton of fun!
Wow that's awesome stuff!!! I live in Australia and have ridden quite a few MTB trails here but nothing compares to this! Those views!!! Fantastic riding guys, well done!
Such a different kind of rock! It's s whole different MTB style
I've always heard about gooseberry, but that's the first time I've seen it and it's now on the list!
Me too, man! I actually didn't watch any videos or look anything up before the trip, I love surprises.
Dude this is so awesome, it's so different from where I ride. Here it's all forest, tight trees, tons of roots, and very little actual elevation change. I would've loved to have gone on this trip. Maybe next time...
It's so interesting! Always looks so different on the camera too! Hope you can make the next one, I'd love to meet you

Thanks Coach! I think it's a good way to help tell the story.
I woke up to a cold rainy day here in Tuscaloosa, indoor riding and watching your awesome videos BK

That place looks awesome. I'm afraid of heights and some parts of that trail scare the crap outta me!
Hahaha, yeah, bring your brown shorts!
That looks like a fun rollercoaster.
It was!
All of your videos are amazing! However, I love the ones that I am familiar with. We spend time in St. George and Hurricane Utah every year and Gooseberry Mesa is on the list. You have definitely done it justice and some!

It's a damn nice destination!
Amazing trail!
Would love to ride here one day, it looks incredible
I hope you do, it's one of the best!
Awesome work man. you made Gooseberry look easy. I'm from SLC, wish i could've made it down.
Next time!!
Wow extreme exposure.
Great ride! Amazing Views! From Hollister, CA
Thanks so much!
you really showed your fitness in thus one. all the rapid burst you had to do to climb the rock faces. I enjoyed this one a bunch. I would love to get you out in pa. reading area. we have the riding.

Thanks so much Michael!! Always thinking about new destinations
That view at 08:06 - all worth it!
Definitely!
COOL AS EVER LIVING THE DREAM
Thanks so much Colin!
Looks awesome keep up the good man 👍
Thanks my man!
skills man, I'd be off over every edge
Nah, mostly thick tires at low pressure. Those rocks look pretty grippy, too.
Thanks Paul!!
I am putting back the Minions on my bike... soo much grip both uphill and downhill
Nice!
Hey Brian, do you remember what was the size of the tires that you used back there?
...btw I'm quite happily surprised that you replied to my comment! I came across one of your videos just a week ago and right now, your channel is the only thing that I'm watching on RUclips. Fantastic ride, have to bee a part of it some day.
I hope you will!!
Reverse Mullet?.. I guess for climbing... Over the bars how many times?
Awesome lookin' ride...
Thanks Thomas!
That shock did not look good at all. But those views though... Oh Man, those views.
BKXC Goat mode was clearly activated for this ride. One relentless technical section after another. I think that's what Trail heaven will be like ;-)
What's that I spot at 15:24??? A thumb over the bar? Old habits die hard! lol
Can't shake it!!!
15:20 I bet those rocks have taken their fair share of sacrifices
Hahaha, if those rocks could talk!
Good work 👍
WOW, epic views!! i so wanna go there...
I hope you do!
Nature's bike trail, gotta love how these builders used 95% of what nature eroded to make these killer trails, rattle snake was neat.
Exactly!! So damn creative and cool
:O what a park!! too good.
It's a great spot!
Hi there I was wondering what you impression was on the Giant bikes?
I have only ridden one after all this time and I really liked it! If you have seen my videos from Australia all my buddies were riding Giant. I think they're solid!
Thank you I am purchasing my first Liv giant for my birthday!
Solid!
what is all that gunk on the shock shaft?
Liquid death!
Brilliant video as usual mate! Got any tips for what trails to ride in France during summer??
Thanks Dom. I haven't been to France yet!
what's the advantage having the single gear in the front them the typical 3 gear?
Less gears to mess with!
I am a beginner to trail riding and noticed some of your vids that you had a single gear in the front. Awesome videos man!!!
Very scenic and technical trail, excellent video. What drivetrain do you use for such exhausting climbs? And tires pressure?
Thanks! This was a 1x11 drivetrain, no idea tires or pressure, the grip of the rock makes it easy!
Having 1 x 11do you remember teeth count on chain ring and biggest on cassete? You have very warm and inviting narrative style, Pure pleasure listen to you.
you should hear him say something in polish ;) quite good at it actually...
anyhow, those were demo bikes that were available on this trip
