Drone Data 101

Drones are well-known for their ability to capture breathtaking photos and video. But the real magic for researchers occurs when a series of images are stitched together with modern photogrammetry software. The output of this processing is an extremely high resolution, spatially accurate orthomosaic image, as well as a 3D surface model. Combined with multi-spectral sensors, these outputs allow us to see new patterns and explore new questions across a broad range of disciplines.
