I just put my Honda in S mode on accident and figured fuck it. I’m only driving 400ft and freaking zoomed there. Didn’t realize it was pretty much a sport mode. I’ve had this car for 6 years 😂
You can shift L or S during driving with no problem, the video here is something wrong saying not recommended but don't stay at it for too long because your engine is revving up every time you press the accelerator.
This video is incorrect. For the 10th-gen Civic, at least, Honda only ever refers to the "S" mode as "Drive (S)" and never as "Sport." You should do your research before uploading videos. The Civic SI and Civic Type R do actually have Sport modes, though.
I finally tested myself and you can go up to 120mph and it accelerates quite fast! It gives some kind of vtech boost around 6000 rpm and it stays in that range forever!

I have a 2017 and it stands for sport
@@normalgamers7404 What trim? If it's not an SI or Type R, it doesn't stand for "Sport."
@@googlewolly I have the 2017 EXL . What does mine stand for?
@@EaterofWorlds-DN Yours should just be "Drive (S)."
@@googlewolly maybe I'm confused or I am confused. I have "D" and "S".
Wait, isn’t S for slow?
If it’s sport… I have been using D the whole time lmao.
Civic not slow. Its fast enough
S stand for SH1T mode 🤣🤣
Is this a joke? I hope it is 😭
What speed can I reach in L mode?

@@joeldube8746yeah on L is a difference in acceleration
@@joeldube8746it’s supposed to be used for going up hills.
I have a question: is this gearbox with the letter L a CVT gearbox?
@@Pawelek1987yes it's a CVT
D is faster than S on the 10th and 11th gen CVT equipped Civics.
