Steward is very important here, because his talent let him target the enemie with highest DEF first, so you'll be able to kill those Defence Crusher before they stun your guard/defender. You can replace him with a caster that has very high nuke damage, just like Eyjafjalla S3, Angelina S3. And If your Cuora (or other defender) can't survive at the end, you can retreat melantha after she killed the last enemy she is blocking and deploy another defender wherever you want, so Faust will change target letting your Cuora/defender tank less damage. And as i said at the start of the video to take a medic for emergency, so you can also retreat the caster to deploy that medic (if Faust is still alive, deploy the medic first and then the defender). If you have Shirayuki/meteorite you can change them instead of the single target sniper at jessica's position, catapult has not enough damage.
I replaced Steward with Ifrit to kill the upper crusher and the caster and then retreated her to replace her with the 5* slower because I had no other single target caster leveled (besides Amiya). Chen's S2 is very useful in Melanthas position. So much AOE damage...
Wonder wich are the exact numbers to be able to change some operators for others, barely was able to clear this in the end need to much aoe to clear all the groups with that passive healing (guess thats the idea of taking Mephisto first). Will try your strategy with my regular team (most have higher rarity but dont pass E1 lvl20 (guess thats what make it hard) to see if was the lack of lvl or just your strategy is better (90% sure is the last).
That's why I always just go for the level. If I'm at risk of ending with 2"stars" I retreat from mission. At worst you lose 1 sanity at best you pass de level ❤️

She is just very accessible and cost efficient, among them.(And her DP cots very low too, while she is sufficiently strong foe most sages) Matoimaru is an outright glass cannon(Higher ATK, lower DEF than Melantha ) with a really high HP and a more spammable ATK buff skill. Franka straight up outclasses her and she can also match Matoimaru 's peak performance. And Skadi is a 6*.

Some tips for higher costers. -Amiya easily can replace Steward coz your dps will be higher and hammer bros are no problem (for ones who don t want spending something like 60k money and exp) -Blue poison are so cool here, also, a lot of maps where she is mvp, aoe plus free arts damage helps so much -Shirayuki or Meteorite at the top also makes this map so easy, but coz of it you must place melantha first and then defenders, coz sniper will kill your Guard - higher cost slower deployment. -3d medic doen't needed for me, i swaped it for Project Red with stun ability, can be useful if you need extra time hammer bros. -Also, Lappland sooo crucial vs hammer bros, yes, she will be using her ability auto, but her silence completely shut down them and they are just useless attackers who dies under blue poison (other sniper) and her attacks. Spoiler alert, she will be so useful at annihilation 3, now my top prior for elite 2:D
Also if you're struggling with high rarity unit's DP cost ,a low cost vanguard like fang or vanilla helps a lot deploy her in a safe spot after you first vanguard
Actually amiya replacing steward is okay if she has the power to kill the crusher b4 other enemies start hitting another operator that is within her range, and lappland's talent on the regen enemies apparently got canceled out by mephisto's ability

I just tried your strategy and it worked like a charm. I used the equivalents and it was super awesome. No one died until the last part. Instead of Melantha I used my Hellagur. Grandpa is always reliable.

Some comments based on my run: 1) If Courier/the Vanguard isn't of a sufficient level (and may die) when the Defense Crusher below Mephisto moves, you can temporarily deploy a medic just below the medic healing courier to help him survive. Then retreat that medic once the Defense Crusher is dead. 2) Instead of Beagle, you can use a healing Defender like Gummy to increase Melantha's survivability. If you have an E1 Saria even better.

@@toddboward4771 I basically just followed this guide and replaced some units with higher tier ones (Texas instead of courier, etc) If this guide isn't working for you the only thing I can really suggest is focus on leveling and promoting your units. Sorry I can't be of more help but if I was a tactical genius I wouldn't need these guides lol
I am just at the beginning of chapter 4 but good to know what I should level. I farm my first E2 units right now (3 in the moment). The next thing I do is level all the commonly used 3* operator's. Thx for the guide I will 100% need it later.

To be honest I normally only watch these guides about halfway, because once the general defense is setup, my strategy can transition into "drop texalter on the boss over and over until they die"

Took me a fuckton of tries because I refused to level up Steward and used Amiya instead. I also realized (after several tries) that the reason Melantha was dying was that perfumer couldn't reach her. But thanks to a friend's Lappland and some insane luck targeting to disable the Defense Crushers I beat it with 4* E1 lv 50 S4 units. Thank you so much.
I am so glad that I have been working on Schwarz, her being E2 makes this so much easier (I also have her skill upgraded twice using the training thing)
Thanks, I used this as a baseline and worked it for my team! Dropped E2 Exu 3rd to decimate Meph with her S2 and replaced her with Steward - even Steward E1 lvl 0 did the job of clearing the defence breaker before it started to move. Also dropping Lappland 4th works well in syncing the S2 skill activation timing to take out both defense breakers that the bottom lane encounters. Used 3 healers (2 AOE 1 ST) instead of the top sniper spot. Also Liskarm works super well in the forward defender position because she kept charging my Steward!
Thank you for this. For those who doesnt have high level Cuora, I replaced her with maxed Beagle. Then I placed Spot in front of Steward, it really helps keeping Melantha alive. I used Perfumer E1 S2 so Beagle can survive crits. When crit hits, activate Perfumer skill, Beagle full hp again.
My operator are at around lvl 50-55 except for Steward he is at lvl 25, even though he is still lvl 25, his damage is really good for that big armored guy and the others, before i tried using Amiya but ends up 1 enemy escapes (it's when my all operator still at lvl 50), then i leveled up my operator to lvl 55 (only a few) and i tried again this stage using my lvl 25 Steward and it works, but at the end only 2 operator that survive, the others are died because of that Faust and the Crossbow. Thanks again bro🙏👍
whenever my friends salt me because of their lucky gachas I just show their stuck-at-3-4-asses my low end team for clearing 5-10, all thanks to you. you's the best, bless you

I finally got to this level after watching so many videos bullying Mephisto. Finally got to it, destroyed Mephisto with Silverash and Faust just appeared and demolished everyone and now i’m here.
This...is actually a really efficient clear. I wouldn't bother to tweak the setup unless you happen to have better snipers. Every operator gets a chance to show their strengths here.
I was thinking .. if I can use Nightmare (since others are using Amiya) if not, well maybe I'll just invest on him anyway. btw nice vids as always Kyo! helped a lot ✨
Managed to beat this without the guide after many, many tries. Even then, it was only a 2-star, and a badly damaged Liskarm and even lower health Lapp were all I had left on the field. Seems like no matter what I do, I can't get Faust below about half health.
I completed this with E1 Eyja. Made a mistake following your guide by not placing Cuora last. My guard(Chen) in front took a lot of damage but fortunately I had Nearl and Silence to keep her alive. Quite satisfying to use Chen S2 in front.

I am just at the beginning of chapter 4 but good to know what I should level. I farm my first E2 units right now (3 in the moment). The next thing I do is level all the commonly used 3* operator's. Thx for the guide I will 100% need it later.

This made it a bit easier to handle the crowd..

I always try to win the level by myself, but anytime I was stuck, Your videos gave me a solution.
The only problem I found in a few playthroughs was the cost of Your operators. They are way cheaper than my alternatives ;)

To be honest I normally only watch these guides about halfway, because once the general defense is setup, my strategy can transition into "drop texalter on the boss over and over until they die"

Took me a fuckton of tries because I refused to level up Steward and used Amiya instead. I also realized (after several tries) that the reason Melantha was dying was that perfumer couldn't reach her. But thanks to a friend's Lappland and some insane luck targeting to disable the Defense Crushers I beat it with 4* E1 lv 50 S4 units. Thank you so much.
I am so glad that I have been working on Schwarz, her being E2 makes this so much easier (I also have her skill upgraded twice using the training thing)
Thanks, I used this as a baseline and worked it for my team! Dropped E2 Exu 3rd to decimate Meph with her S2 and replaced her with Steward - even Steward E1 lvl 0 did the job of clearing the defence breaker before it started to move. Also dropping Lappland 4th works well in syncing the S2 skill activation timing to take out both defense breakers that the bottom lane encounters. Used 3 healers (2 AOE 1 ST) instead of the top sniper spot. Also Liskarm works super well in the forward defender position because she kept charging my Steward!
Thank you for this. For those who doesnt have high level Cuora, I replaced her with maxed Beagle. Then I placed Spot in front of Steward, it really helps keeping Melantha alive. I used Perfumer E1 S2 so Beagle can survive crits. When crit hits, activate Perfumer skill, Beagle full hp again.

My operator are at around lvl 50-55 except for Steward he is at lvl 25, even though he is still lvl 25, his damage is really good for that big armored guy and the others, before i tried using Amiya but ends up 1 enemy escapes (it's when my all operator still at lvl 50), then i leveled up my operator to lvl 55 (only a few) and i tried again this stage using my lvl 25 Steward and it works, but at the end only 2 operator that survive, the others are died because of that Faust and the Crossbow. Thanks again bro🙏👍

I finally got to this level after watching so many videos bullying Mephisto. Finally got to it, destroyed Mephisto with Silverash and Faust just appeared and demolished everyone and now i’m here.

This...is actually a really efficient clear. I wouldn't bother to tweak the setup unless you happen to have better snipers. Every operator gets a chance to show their strengths here.
I thought Faust was just randomly shooting shit, once I understand the mechanic I beat this easily , thank you.

You're a godsend, KyoStinV! 😭 Managed to clear this stage with underleved operators (I only have three E2 operators #sad)
Gravel makes Frost question his existence, since you deploy her, she gets hit/kill and she respawn again, repeat.
Managed to beat this without the guide after many, many tries. Even then, it was only a 2-star, and a badly damaged Liskarm and even lower health Lapp were all I had left on the field. Seems like no matter what I do, I can't get Faust below about half health.
I completed this with E1 Eyja. Made a mistake following your guide by not placing Cuora last. My guard(Chen) in front took a lot of damage but fortunately I had Nearl and Silence to keep her alive. Quite satisfying to use Chen S2 in front.
People talk about Silverash but CUORA was the real MVP here. She tanked almost all of Faust's shots and didn't even die once!
