In this age of specialization it is nice to see someone who can do it all, and do it well. Someone who can think when things don’t go as planned. Nice job as usual. Keep at it!
Leaving the original finishes along with the patina is a great idea. This keeps the history and originality intact. I prefer an original car along with the worn-in look than a shiny "restored" one. I like designs of "form follows function".
"It was only original once" and a lot of ruination occurs with this madness known as "auto restoration" that happens with people, when they should have just preserved it (fix what needs fixing/stop the decay) the way it was.
Very nice work. Your attention to detail and reasoning is truly appreciated, right down to not painting the metal so that it goes with the age and condition of the automobile.
Bitter/sweet. Hate to see the end of a project BUT, really enjoy how nice it looks when completed. Thanks for all your hard work producing these videos.
I wonder what the paint would look like with a bit of rubbing compound and polish? Very interesting video. My T has a very old top and I’m reluctant to change it. The label in it has a three digit phone number of the place that made it. I doubt it is original but it still is pretty old.
excellent job! can you tell us the dimensions of the top pads and what distance from the center of the bow to install it thank you. and congratulations 👏 for be a good teacher. saludos de Chicago
Great job! If you ever decide to make some side curtains for it, you'll want to replace the snaps on the rear bow with "Lift-the-dot" pegs and fasteners. :)
Beautiful job! I wish I could hire you to do the one on my ‘26 Runabout I just bought. It isn’t attached to the body and the frame isn’t wide enough to latch in at the front on both sides.
I always wonder about the doors on these cars in humidity. ive got a 1905 cable nelson grand piano humidity swells up the keys/hammers some still sticky even now in winter
Originally, they were all dimensionally the same, so the first one was just patterned and copied. They also weren't as picky about workmanship. It takes me a long time to make everything because each one I make is one of a kind and I'm always rechecking everything as I go.
Your work has been done so well it looks original. Something to be proud of!
Thank you very much!
Excellent! I was just going to sew my seats and buy the top but after watching your video I may give it a try! Thank you for the great videos!
How could anyone not like……you are a artist!

That was awesome! Your plan for how much to do and what not to do to car looks perfect to me. Some of the best looking old cars are not shiny.

you said 2 weeks for the top How long do you think Mr. Ford gave his workers to install a top in back in the day?
You are artisan!
👍👍👍

What did they use for the rear window back then? They didn't have the same material we do now.
fantastic! will you do mine?

Looks like a lot of work. How long did it take to do? It turned out looking great.
About 2 weeks for the top.
Just curious as to why you use a hand stapler instead of an air stapler ? Terry Totten
Damn fine job. Is there rough patterns on the Internet for this kind of thing?
I'm not sure, I've never found anything like that. Most of the patterns I have, I made over the years.
Can you make video for model T touring convertible top..
Probably the next time I make one.
I understand that this roadster was one of the cheapest Model Ts.. How did they keep the price down with all the labor needed to make the top?

Correction. Attention to details.
Nice looking top
