This is the engine for my 1913 Ford model T project car. It's had a low budget rebuild done before and, in this video, I correct a few things as I reassemble it.

Charles, I hope you are not affected by the horrific fires. Be well!
What complications did you encounter with the axle swap? Was the auxiliary transmission already installed?
"...like, comment, subscribe.. whatever." LOVE it! Not the usual "SUBSCRIBE OR YOU'RE TAKING FOOD OUTTA MY KIDS MOUTH!" :)
Your work has been done so well it looks original. Something to be proud of!
Thank you very much!
makes you wonder how they got everything lined up with the magneto when they were slapping them together in the factory. I have had mine apart and my guideline was to give the magnets as much clearance as I could. It probably makes the magneto a bit weaker than it could be but it seems to work well enough.
Very good work! I am curious, where did you learn your expertise on these old cars. You are excellent in the interiors! Tom
I fit rods and new main caps similarly and let them wear in. That's what the door is for on the bottom of the pan anyway. Besides as long as after warming up it doesn't sound like a threshing machine chewing on a piece of barbed wire to paraphrase Floyd Clymer it is probably OK. With a T it is important to distinguish noises it should and shouldn't be making. 😀
Where did you get the leaf springs from? Thinking my 61 tudor will be needing a pair, thanks
General Spring. I also got the bushings from them.
lol @ sounds quiet
Great video
i had alot of questions myself for my Turbo 350 in my Kingswood! really appreciate all your details, great work, thank you! 🏁
How did the fly wheel splash enough oil in there without the magnets or dippers?
Thank you! 13:30 on helped me get mine going!
Merry Christmas, Charlie! Thanks for driving the Ford Model T around for people to see. Honking the horn sure got people's attention.
Are not the magnets also used to sling oil? Without them on there, I think some folks put like fins on there or something.
That is correct. I mention that when I reassemble it.
Greetings Charles, great video. As for your LED lights going out. I am sure that that's an ignition noise issue. Some of my multimeters don't work when I try to take a current or voltage reading when the engine is running. But, I am able to take readings when the engine has stopped. One suggestion is to by-pass the flashing circuit in the LED lights or to us LED lights that don't flash.
What am I seeing? Real shoes! Great video!
Muy bueno! Feliz navidad!
After all the work on that Model T, it is nice to see you enjoying it. Merry Christmas!
Absolutely marvelous watching that old antique touring through the neighborhood. For some strange reason I'm not surprised that a Model T can spend an hour or more in standstill traffic, never stall, never overheat, do exactly what it's expected to do, without a hitch. No wonder people love seeing them so much. 🙂
Merry Christmas. I always enjoy your videos.
Which town did you tour?
It's a neighborhood in south Torrance. I'm not sure what the name of it is.
@@onewhocollects6781 I remember growing up in Arcadia and we'd go to Altadena to look at the Christmas lights.
Looks a lot bigger and more crowded this year.Your Xmas lights along the bottom half weren’t on.Thanks again!!Hope you enjoy your Xmas!
The headlights are electrified or acetylene?
At the moment, they have LED bulbs. I haven't decided yet if I want to keep it that way or set up the gas generator.
Enjoyed the video. This is a fun holiday tradition. See you at HME!
Honk Honk
Is that painter's tape you are using to hold the strings of lights onto your car?
Yep, it's what I had laying around at the time.
@@onewhocollects6781 great. I think that would work better, then other tapes such as electrical.
Totally Enjoyed! Thanks for posting!😁
Awesome! Hope to see you on the 29th on the excursion.
planning on it.
love it.
Can you please advise me how to prime the oil pump (entire oil system) after installing those heads and front timing chain cover.
Vast improvement. What are you planning to do with under the rear fenders?
working on that right now.
Great video!
Would love to see a Falcon that solid on the east coast.
Are there any in any condition on the east coast? I haven’t seen one in New England in decades.
So nice to see someone treat this important remnant of American automotive history with such respect. Viva la Falcon
Looking good.
Looks good!
Nice work!!! Thank you for sharing.
Great video! I hope you are planning on showing a model Christmas video!
Thank you. Don't worry, working on it.
Satisfying
Wow. Probably looks better than it ever has.
Nice job !
Muy bueno,en mi país esos fueron los primeros falcón que entraron,al año siguiente empezó a fabricarse acá y siguio vigente con varios cambios hasta septiembre de 1991, 30 años de vigencia elegido por su nobleza Saludos desde Argentina
Wow! Very nice
There's a bolt on the top of the axle,,Your supposed to take it out before changing the bearings,,
That colour really suits that car. We had Falcons down here in NZ even.
Thanks for the update.. What a fantastic little car.
That trunk came out nice. And the brushed on paint is fine, IMO, much better than rusty body paint colored steel. Nice work. Interested to see the next steps.
Nice progress
If you were anymore chilled out, they would name a refrigerator after you enjoy your videos what a beautiful Ford the body shape the colour deserves a lot of love i thought you might treat the underbody with Ospho or some rust convertor sealer
