I just finished sewing a few of these masks and they are a hit! They are attractive, comfortable and held up well through the washing machine and dryer cycles. Thank you for this pattern and the wonderful tutorial!
This design is similar to many 3D masks, but somehow the construction (using 3 separate pieces instead of folded material) gives it more shape, and seems to make it fit better. I made the version you have with seam binding (but I think I will probably like this without the binding - less work lol), and my husband even said that it's more comfortable and fits better than other masks he owns - whether made by me or store bought. I'm so glad I saw your videos! Thanks! ♥
First of all, I love you guys and your beautiful Siamese cat. I love the different ways of making the mask. The white fabric made it a new beginning feeling and clean and its soft comfy. Thank you for sharing.
Even though I miss your beautiful prints, it looks very nice and crisp in white. Well done! Thanks for sharing the smaller size. Now I can make for my whole family. 😊
Thank you for these great videos ^__^ 1.) How do I add a filter pocket for this Apple style mask? 2.) And I do not have a curved ruler, what size of a plate can you recommend to use to make draw the curves at 2:00?
Thank you for watching, 1) I'm thinking...It might be better to add it to the right side of the mask. 2) There is no correct. It is good to have a good-looking shape. It may be good to use a plate.
Thank you! Yesterday I made the last one, and noticed it lacked of protection. This 3 layered solves that problem! Just a question: what would be the measurements for the men size?
I really love your tutorials! I like to see you trying them on. It is the best way to see which mask you want to make. You explain things so well! (All without speaking. Lol.) Because there are so many different styles, it may also be helpful to make a summary of the different styles and maybe do a pros vs. cons or rating, in your opinion, of best to worst or top 5 or something like that. Can you tell me which mask you and your husband (I assume) like best and wear when you go out? I am really interested in which masks are popular in which countries. By the way, I love that your kitty is featured in your videos. I feel like that with my dogs. I have a girlfriend from China who says that Americans have the most spoiled pets in the world. We just love our very smart pets. And yours, like mine have a great deal of personality! ~Kat
Thank you for watching!! We use the mask that many masks we have made so far. Among them, I like the Apple mask very much. I've been wearing well lately. It's breathable and no fog on glasses.
Sensei, I have noticed that you have a curved ruler that you use on some of your tutorials. I don't remember seeing a link to it on any of your tutorial descriptions. Would you mind sharing where you acquired the curved ruler? Thank you so much!
You can use a french curve or a hip curve to draw your curve lines. I don't know the exact brand name of the one used in this video, but i think it's a hip curve.
I love this mask (as well as all your other mask) but, my concern is the fabric being used for this mask in particular. The CDC says that the best fabrics, to use are high thread count cottons (at least 2 layers)and 1 layer of a chiffon silk or polyester. Also the fit should not have any gaps. Just thought you would appreciate the information for you future wonderful creations and contributions.. This information can be pulled up on the WEB. Please keep up the great work. :)
Oh goodie, goodie ! Your husband did say you were coming with a women/ teen version ! I got to go shopping for white fabric.... I can’t wait to make this one ! Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻.

DIYCraft JP Thank you for replying! I will try!🥰
Very nice. Thank you
It is more complicated to make than other masks, but if it offers better protection I welcome the complication. As always, thanks for sharing.
Thank you. 🕊❤️

I get the curved ruler at the sewing shop.
Maybe you can get it online shop.
Do you sale any of the masks you make?
Sorry, I can't.
how much are the apple ones ?
I don't know...??
Apple does not sell these masks to the general public. They designed and made it for their staff only.

We are using thin cotton. Because it looks like a real Apple mask.
Everyone is free to choose the fabric to use.
