Chesapeake Bay Bearcats Dixieland Band 1988 "Maryland My Maryland"

The Chesapeake Bay Bearcats performing in the Kellam High School Bandroom in Virginia Beach, Virginia in February of 1988. The dixieland tune in this clip is "Maryland My Maryland". The Bearcats played two evenings a week at Waterside's Phillip's Seafood Restaurant in Norfolk, Va. from 1985 through 1990. The Bearcats got their start at Gramby High School in Norfolk in the late 1950's.

POPS! My former band director is on tuba. This was in our band room. These guys were great musicians.

@@jeffreywarren2563 yes!! he always went by POPS! I grew up to be a professional dancer- I attribute the rhythm in my genes to him! How cool!!
