- Hair growing up between your dog's eyes can block their field of view and cause crusty build up and should be trimmed out. But as any groomer will tell you, working around the eyes requires special attention, patience and a couple of specialized tools that can make the job a little less stressful for both you and your dog. If you have any doubts about your ability to safely perform any kind of grooming process on your dog, DO NOT TRY IT. STOP AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A PROFESSIONAL GROOMER.
