  • Have you ever painted chickens? They are colorful and full of personality which make them a fun subject to paint. Using watercolor is the perfect medium because it allows me to let the paint mingle & mix which helps create textures that resemble feathers. I start by NOT drawing the animal! This approach helps me paint loose and make spontaneous choices. Drawing forces me to stay within the lines. Having no pencil lines lets me be more creative. Watch this quick video to see exactly how I paint chickens using my favorite medium ......Watercolor!
