Graham Oakes This long before his time, his time WAS his time , I really cannot see Fred doddering about trying to climb ladders, stoke engines build sheds and being so frustrated that he could not do these things so dear to him anymore......Cheers FRED.
I visited Fred’s place last week, it was the final open day that current owner “Leon pownsey” has.. it was a bitter sweet in all honesty.. lovely to see what’s left of Fred’s hard work and imagination but sad to see the heart ripped and being pulled out of it... just didn’t feel right.
Powsney even sold Freds rivets very sad ;ast time we visited we could tell what he was doing fist the Lancashire Bolier the Heart of Freds steam operations went for scrap TRAVESTY !!
Great video! I bet Fred is, as we speak, is tunneling from Tonge cemetary to the bottom of his mine shaft to finish his final project (the council can't stop you now Fred!!!!) It's a sin how that site was left to rot whilst his estate was fought over. God bless you Fred you were a one off, there will never be another one, mores the pity, may you rest in eternal peace.
Aww god bless him he was so inspired to work throughout his life till his sad end , tell us Dave lane your story on why his yard etc legacy has come to its demise and what did you do to try and save it being so close to freb?
It was a great pity that Fred died long before his time. Characters like him will never be seen again .RIP Fred we miss you

hi, do you have anymore unseen fred dibnah moment.. lovin your videos of fred..
he knew he was dying and didn't have left at this point, only revealing it to those closest to him, still kept going though!
Is his old house going to become a museum or given back to his kids! What a legacy what a man. Not many men could climb a wooden ladder to heaven!
Natural talend :)
Only 1 Fred 🇬🇧🙏
Ur making me dizzy hold camera still jeeezz
Did the mine get completed with railway etc? Ive looked to see how it progressed but cant seem to find anything about it
Think has all been sold off, as the next owner could not extort the money he wished trying to do his theme park-style attraction.
Look at that fly wheel go
would anyone know if fred had plans to go off for the whole engine rebuild? or are parts of it more guesstamation?
If you mean his traction engine look up Fred Dibnahs made in Britain. All of the episodes are here on youtube.
Prophet Fred

Glad I wasn’t his neighbour 😂
Bet Fred wouldn't have liked you as a neighbour, always mithering.

She was female and loved money.
@@michaelstevens630 do you know many females that don't love money?
He left his last wife out of his will, there’s an interesting story if it could be told.
