Welcome to GamingSins, where we nitpick the hell out of video games.
And alas, we finally do a video on an Xbox 360 exclusive! Don't get it twisted though, we love this game and the entire Gears Trilogy, but that doesn't mean it's free from sin.

At 6:28 marcus could just use the hammer of dawn to kill RAAM . It takes nearly 4-5 seconds for it to triangulate and by the time RAAM gives a cold stare to Litenuant Kim, marcus could have done this and prevented a whole lot chaos

Honestly, I'm glad the Casual difficulty exists. How else would we have so many opportunities to gnash people into bits so easily?
And those berserkers man I got killed so many times on casual with her that I ended up recruiting mom to help me mostly it was the dumb ais fault and after the 16 try I got pissed but me and mom finally got the hang of it though she did have a wall problem kept running into it which is why it took us 10 times to get pass that level glad the train wasn't as horrible I just got mom to the other end and berserker to chase me

"No Horde Mode"... Gears 2 is the reason Horde modes became popular and became standard... You know this game came out before Gears 2?
lol right...although many games before it had wave based modes before gears 2 came out, all wave based modes were "survival" modes. there a reason "horde' is now synonymous with it, even out of the franchise

Just a note: the berserk-er can be held with chains for the same reason an elephant can be tied to a lawn chair, if you teach an elephant from birth that the rope can't be broken and what ever its attached to can't be moved, it will stop trying even as an adult, so when its older it won't think its strong enough to move the lawn chair (when it clearly is) and the berserk has probably been trained so that when the chain is on it assumes the chain can't be broken
I don’t care how many sins this game has, the gears of war series is always gonna be my favorite. 4 and 5 were a bit different but I still love the series as a whole.
I think you should take off a sin for this game being one of the few games that doesn't rely on boobs to get to the end. I could choke on the amount of games made that had to leverage the plot with a gratuitous amount of girls in various degrees of cladness to get to the end, and the plot makes no sense either way.

Is it odd that I was able to get relatively far in Judgement but in Gears of War 1, I got stopped at the dang Kryll area with that tank-like vehicle?
If that is an example of inferiority, I can understand it but at least Baird isn't a whiny brat in Judgement, as much as he is in GoW1.

The reason that the arrow didn't explode at the end is because you didn't hold it dusk long enough for it to penetrate. You can see it bounce off and go flying into the sky.

18: In video games its pointless for an enemy to announce that their reloading as it only serves to let players know he's vulnerable. At least if you're going to do that have the other characters defend him.

That arrow didnt even stick on to RAAM. Even pefectly reloaded, he still found a way to shoot the torque bow while it wasnt charged enough, therefore the arrow simply bounced off of him, fliying into the air. If you pay attention really closely, you'll see it. XD
You can tell he isn’t a real gears player
The chains on the berserker are just so locust can escort it around areas due to its blindness, it later shows that it was not to restrain it because it kills all of the locust guiding it. Also at one point you talk about horde mode, maybe they had not thought of it, but yes they knew gears 2 was going to happen because at the end (spoilers) you see the queen riding a reaver and hear her speak, this only has a high sin counter because you mention the same thing repeatedly e.g: "this glitch"

for "sin #2" about E-DAY, if you actually let some minutes pass by during the main menu a pre-rendered cinematic plays with the whole "queen" narrative and she says Emergence-Day, it doesnt take a genius to figure that out

Wasn't Gears one of the first games to have a Horde mode? Or was it ODST with Firefight? I can't remember. Either way I don't think Horde mode even existed back then.
CommanderFlynn Unreal Tournament 2004 had horde mode (and it was also made by Epic Games)
Bruce Lee I've actually never seen a horde-mode with more customization options, it just wasn't as fun as Gears 2. All the monsters moved weird and reacted oddly to shots.
CommanderFlynn Max Payne 2 also did, called Dead Man Walking, if you mean, killing constant waves of enemies.

njintau It was less in Gears of War 2, more in Gears of War 2. It's been ages since I played GoW 2, but the most notable moment is when Marcus is calling for Anya because he isn't sure if she got out of Jacinto and she comes out, looks and smiles at him
Devon With An I I remember that scene and honestly it was pretty weak in conveying any real emotional attachment. By that scene, it could've been interpreted that Marcus was merely concerned for a close friend rather then a love interest.
I'm loving this dude more and more. Regardless, that some of these are my favorite games he is rather entertaining.

No,I got it wrong;as u know Gears weapons jam when u mess up an active reload.Weapon overheating was one of commander Shepherds problems
I love it. My only criticism is when you use a deep voice (like during the "UNLIMITED AMMO" bits) it feels like you're really trying to hard, and it's annoying.

This dude, OMG this dude points out GLITCHES that happen in the game. MIGHT AS WELL GIVE EVERY GAME AS MUCH SINS AS POSSIBLE because there will always be glitches. Also, some of these things are pointless. I have seen all the videos of this and CinemaSins has MUCH better reasons for sins.

The non exploding arrow was deflected. It happens to me on that boss ALOT. I just stopped taking the bow to use on him because of it.
Gears of War pretty much commandeered the new generation of "Horde" mode. Before there was Halo's Firefight or COD's Zombies. That's why you're referring to it as *HORDE MODE*. Good God, I am trying to give this a chance. But you guys don't know wtf you're talking about. Please name a PS3 or Xbox 360 shooter that had a *Horde*/Survival Mode BEFORE Gears of War 2..

Halo didn't have Firefight until ODST which was released in 2009 and Call of Duty didn't have Zombies until World at War released november 2008, Gears of War 2 released in 2008 with Horde mode, definitely shouldn't of been a sin, I certainly can't name a Game before Gears of War 1 (2006) having a Horde/survival!

***** It was the first 3rd person shooter I ever played. Hell, I had never played any shooter except Halo on the lowest difficulty and Doom with cheats (I was a very casual gamer and had very little effort) at the time so I am glad it had a casual difficulty. At the time, I probably would have never finished it if they only had harder difficulties considering I also had only really played pc before as well so the whole controller was a new thing to learn as well. After a playthrough or two to get used to the mechanics, it would not have bothered me and nowadays, even Insane difficulty is a joke but lower difficulties exist for a reason. Don't assume that just because you have played that type of game before that everyone has.
Even in context, it sounded like you were arguing that it doesn't matter because it was a 3rd person shooter. My apologies for misinterpreting it. I understand what you were saying now.

Sorry but if you've played video games, you know that you move with WASD, shoot/aim with the mouse (or analog sticks if you're playing on a console) and kill everything that's red. Also, grenades explode and bow deals more damage, the longer you charge it. It's not rocket science. Besides, there's always RUclips if you get stuck.
I believe he meant the fact the guy was like grab those grenades then the game is like HEY LOOK GRENADES PICK THE UP CAUSE WE JUST TOLD YOU TO not to mention those are a lot of grenades.

4:15 The "reloading" is for your teammates, not for the enemy. It's also in every shooter.
14:38 You complained earlier about the tutorial about the Torque but you didn't seem to understand it properly, because you have to charge the arrow enough for it to stick. You didn't charge it enough, and you can see the arrow bouncing away the next second:
