    We found out recently that there are game changing TMs coming with the DLC that reintroduce very powerful tutor moves which will completely change competitive Pokemon!

    There's 2 things in the DLC that i'd like to try out.
    1. Dripplin using it's move that slows each turn for 3 turns on a teammate with Lash Out and maybe also weakness policy and Trick Room.
    2. Use Kommo-o with Clangerous Soul and Flamigo with Co-star for the easy double omniboost. It's essentially a weaker but much easier to pull off version of the Dondozo and Tatsugiri + Flamigo strat.

  • @Justic_
    @Justic_ 11 месяцев назад +13

    Talking about Glimmora and Meteor Beam, my immediate thought was how cool it'd be if like Solar Beam it got to charge faster in, say, Psychic Terrain, but then I remembered unlike Solar Beam it has that special attack buff, so it not being able to quick-charge like SB was actually a pretty good way to balance it and other charge-moves (stuff like Fly and Dive as well, they have the added benefit of a turn of invincibility)... but THEN I remembered that Archaludon brings that new move that pretty much does exactly that! And while it might be exclusive to Archaludon for now, I'm BETTING that move will spread to other Pokemon as time goes on! So now, imagine if Meteor Beam actually could quick-charge on Psychic Terrain-teams! It'd give primarily rock-types more synergy with Psychic Terrain and could create a push to make them a combination like rain-teams with electric-types or sun-teams with grass-types.

    • @foofootoo

      If the paradox form of terrakion follows the pattern that we've seen with Iron Leaves (grass/psychic) and Iron Crown (steel/psychic), a rock/psychic mon with quick charge meteor beam and STAB expanding force could be deadly!

    • @Justic_
      @Justic_ 11 месяцев назад +3

      @@foofootoo true, I didn't think of that, but at the same time, that'd also somewhat require Paradox Terrakion to have a decent special attack stat (which, looking at Iron Leaves, they decided to give it only base 70), and for Game Freak to give it access to Meteor Beam in the first place, if they feel Beam-type moves don't make much sense on Paradox Terrakion and thus don't give it any, that'd be that.

      @@malakimphoros2164 Ever since Rillaboom's reign of terror in gen 8 I've been praying that it gets grassy glide because it's easily the worst Tapu since Koko is used a lot, Lele was one of the most popular wall breakers in gen 7 and 8, and even fini was a staple in stall but bulu had nothing going for him in singles or doubles. While I can see why priority grassy glide from bulu might be to strong, he only has 5 attack over rillaboom and is probably just as bulky because of his smaller hp stat so I don't know if he'll even be better than rillaboom I just wan't him to have something.

    Imagine Flip Turn on Dondozo - it would have an option to swap out and spit the Tatsugiri out where it was. I doubt it would happen but would be very refreshing for Dondozo gameplay. Speaking of Dondozo if you can predict the turn it swallows Tatsugiri, you can use Burning Jelousy to burn it while doing some dmg. Plus Burning Jelousy have perfect accuracy unlike will-o-miss. Oh and you can have Assault Vest mon with Burning Jelousy but not with the status moves. This might shift the meta and make Dondozo use Water Veil or use Fire Tera over other options.

    For me the best movesets I've found for dragonite were dragon claw, dual wingbeat/fire punch, extreme speed, d dance. If you have enough power the resistance steel types have isn't usually a problem. But swapping fire punch around is a preference thing.
    Hopefully the fact that many pokemon just don't get toxic anymore means that the move was outright removed from their learnsets. Dondozo getting something like that I'd a special kind of bull.

    • @jimtsap04
      @jimtsap04 11 месяцев назад

      And the burn doesn't reduce the confusion damage I'm pretty sure it just halves the base power of attacks so you get to cancel out the attack boost while keeping the increase in confusion damage which can stack up quick with the chip from burning jealousy itself and the burn it inflicts

Since the DLC isn't out yet and since DLCs aren't physical to get early, datamines won't happen until the next day and a half or so. Another use of lash out could be on weavile, honchkrow, and bisharp, since their best dark move is night slash, which is only 70 base power as opposed to 75. In RU prior to shifts, one of the best pokemon was Tauros-Paldea-Aqua. Even after shifts it is still good and probably the best answer to Weavile. Weavile could use lash out on CB to punish Tauros for switching in, and because Weavile isn't too common right now, not running intimidate is not optimal.
