I didn't expect to feel the way I feel after watching this. This video squashed my heart. I'm a revert Muslim living in London, I was born and raised in Italy by my Christian family. A beautiful black lady gave birth to me and my father's Mother ( white Italian) planted the seed of faith in my heart. I thought I had an open mind.
I travelled the world and I thought that we were all equal. I never discriminated against anyone BUT although my open heart I must admit the false propaganda made me scared of the Taliban and the people of Afghanistan. I knew that wasn't right, after all, one of my friend, who moved to Australia when was little decided to deliver his wife's baby in Kabul a few years ago. Why was I still doubting about these people. I felt guilty about this. This testimony erased all the doubts I had about this country. May Allah forgive my sins.

I converted almost 8 months ago, alhamdulilah. And yes, we're called "reverts" but when you convert your whole life to embrace a completely new way to live, I believe you can say either term. wa alaikum salam dear sister, from a sister in the uk. Indeed, when we fully understand islam it's so beautiful masha'Allah, Subhan'Allah. I was Alhamdulillah born Muslim, but if you live in a cultural family everything can get so mashed together and then everyone lost in trying to understand what the real islam is. But Alhamdulillah my late father was such an amazing father that he showed me how beautiful islam is. So the eldest of 7 siblings I have managed to love islam as it truly is. But unfortunately my other siblings have had culture take over and even though my dad tried, the culture is what they loved more than the true beauty of islam. May Allah make it easy for all of us to understand islam better. Aameen.

My husband was a convert and he hated the world revert, he was an English language educator .he said the word revert is for a person who was raised in a Muslim family but he was not practicing Islam and did not believe In what his parents teach him then some thing happened and he started believing in Islam. A religion is a practice that is learned from childhood. Converting from Christianity

The term Revert is preferable because it believed and infact true that everyone is born Muslim. Muslim means Complete submission to the will of Allah.
