    Where I live, it's a bad idea to look at strangers. It's an invitation for them to try to panhandle, get you to sign a petition, or sell you something. So "don't make eye contact" is kind of the default position for a lot of people.

    I shoot XH2, 18/23/33/50 LM for my weddings and live music… but, rewatching these videos has helped me decide that the 23/50 f2 on my XT5 will make a great compact travel kit.

    Enjoyed the video and you captured some great images. I found London to be quite friendly but I suppose some of it is about you never quite know what the person is doing when smiling at you.... Its also an age thing... Older people tend to exchange smiles etc. Keep up the good work! 👍🏻

    These vids are the greatest, Shot spotting is my obsession, I think video is easier to invoke an emotion than single frame shooting, because you have movement, However to invoke that same emotion with one single frame is truly on another level of talent.I just bought an XT-4 and am chomping at the bit. Cheers from CA.

    I think people look away because they have been looking at you trying to figure you out (basically NOT minding their own business) and once you look at them, they feel like they just got caught doing something they shouldn’t have been doing. Basically they’re embarrassed and don’t want confrontation if you took offense to someone staring at you.

      @@snapsbyfox You're welcome 😎 As for the people, I'm no expert but I'd say that whenever people see a camera even to this day, that produces often a first reaction of suspicion or protecting oneself (by looking away or down, hiding, move to the other sidewalk). These are common reactions I get from time to time as well, and I DON'T yell at ducks for instance ! 😎🤣🤣

    Hi Roman I've only just found your channel following the great collaboration with Mr Danks. I've now subscribed 👍 I also shoot Fuji and have dabbled in Street Photography but still learning to 'see' or anticipate an image. I currently use the 35mm F2 and was considering getting the 23mm f2 but I'm interested to know why you like the 50mm and if you could only have ONE lens for street which would it be? Love the POV vlogs by the way

    • @snapsbyfox
      @snapsbyfox  3 года назад +1

      Cheers! So I have all 3 and use them almost equally as they all do different things. I like 50 for the compression and naturally many of my photos are from 35 to 50. 23 on the other hand always comes with me for those scenarios where I gotta go wide to take a hero shot for example. If I had to pick only one to use for good I would actually get the 27mm pancake that just come out...
