Yep! Cody was my inspiration, too. This is one of my favorite solo games, which I play 3-handed. I'll recommend the Cold Snap expansion first for the sole reason being that it includes the Dreadnoks. They are an auto-include challenge every mission I play. Agree with Cody that Raise the Flagg is the pinnacle expansion, though. However, Zartan and his crew are so essential to this child of the 80s.
Man, I do enjoy this game, but I haven't even played the 2nd expansion yet. Not sure if I need this.. however, that comic book I had as a kid and was one of my favorite comics to re-read (no talking at all) because it was so cool... besides... ninjas!
I was really surprised this got an expansion. The story this expansion is based on was literally one issue. It’s G.I. Joe issue 21: Silent Interlude because the entire issue is completely void of dialogue. It’s a great issue but I was worried the content would be kinda light because it’s just based on one single issue. But it seems like they did try to stay faithful to the story and make a thematic expansion that does something different. I’m impressed.
I love how much you love this game! Makes me like it more. Can this single player mode be used for other Missions? Same question for the hidden traitor variant.
@@Firefly1-1 I found the rulebook to be comprehensive but not organized in a way that made it easy for me to learn. After watching this video and supplementing it with the rulebook, I had everything I needed to play correctly. ruclips.net/video/9fIEkV8q_rI/видео.htmlsi=o_W-dKo0C4lewS5G
I love your reviews, thank you. I would love to see a review on the Bonus Boxes for this game.
Maybe sometime I'll be able to do that. Thanks.
Because of your reviews,I am jumping onto this game and expansions.
Happy to help. Great game system.

Yeah. It’s a fun game that does a great job adapting the source material. I hope you get it to the table again soon.
Thx for the review. People are really sleeping on this game unfortunately
Yeah. It needs more love for sure.

Yeah. They did a good job here of letting you play out the story.
Just got this and all the expansions. Did you laminate all the cards? If not what are they in. Not penny sleeves?
Mayday thick sleeves.
I love how much you love this game! Makes me like it more.

Not sure. Interesting question.
Would you play the 2nd mission without a traitor, by giving each player 3 loyal Joe cards?
No. You really need a traitor for it to work - the missions are too easy otherwise.
I've heard the rules are dodgy and vague for many new players.Has that been addressed as these expansions have come out?
The rulebook for the core game is not the best. I'd look up how to play videos online as the best way to get started.
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer you should really do your own video on this please!!!!

The rulebooks in the expansions are small and primarily focus on the new concepts introduced in that expansion. They don't overhaul the base set.
The rulebook isn't the greatest but it doesn't matter because the game is awesome
First
But far from best.
