It's just desperate to keep people past their expiration dates and the entire band lost all of their integrity

Comments on social media and reddit made me think this would be bad and unrecognizable as underoath but of course it was just classic fans not wanting to let artists be artists. 'Why doesnt the band sound like they did five albums and 10 years ago' vibes... This is nice and fresh take on underoath. Excited to see how it fits in an album with other more traditional songs and maybe even more experimental songs? Good stuff.

Wrong. They changed at least 3 different times and everytime they did it was better than this. This isnt UO at all and mediocre at best.
@@NefariousHourOfMusic 100%, you could even argue that every album since TOCS to Disambiguation was different, minus the gap between LITSOS and Disambiguation (those had very similar dark themes), but everything post disambiguation has been hard to swallow as even remotely "good". i get it influences and styles change, but this is dog ass
@@mikehancho7172 I agree that the last 2 albums really arent that good but even Voyeurist had a few moments that shined and felt semi-underoathy (if you could call it that) but this doesnt have any hint of UO at all.

Always come back to Underoath. Old and New. This is absolutely phenomenal and layered. Aaron and Co. never cease to hit me with something new and special that resonates.

I'm so glad I stay off social media and can't hear the insufferables who expect a group of 20+ years to sound the sound. I've loved every era of Underoath since I discovered as a teenager over a decade ago. I'm just happy one of my favorite artists is still making good music. Other fans aren't so lucky.

Liquid Drum and Bass is the name of the sub-genre of electronic music that you're listening to, just in case want to dive deeper into it. Mixing it with post-hardcore is definitely an interesting combo! If I didn't get into electronic music as much as I have over the last decade, I probably wouldn't like it. But I do lol.
Took me a few listens because I was not expecting this. Sounded more like one of the songs you’re featured on than a true Underoath song… I think the last time I felt this way was when you dropped “Unsound”. I am totally here for this. The intro, the vocals, the drums… feels like the MuteMath, Underoath and (newer) Korn collaboration that I never knew I needed. Can’t wait to hear more! I think your evolutions are why you’ve been my favorite band for nearly 20 years.

The Mutemath name drop is so unexpected yet weirdly accurate. They were the kings of using sampling in their work. One of the most underrated bands of all time.

My all time favorite band since I was thirteen years old and still had their first singer (When the Sun Sleeps) Some of yall might remember when that dropped. The new vocalist is WAYYYYY better 🔥 🔥 And I can just say I hope it's still him 🙏 I've loved this band for a long time now. Grew up listening 💯 And it's lifelong. 🙏 💯 Ohhhhhhh edit: Yes. I turn 31 tomorrow or officially today starting at midnight ❤❤ I didn't know that I was gonna be alive this long.... I'm handicapped guys and I've been through death, being handicapped, in multiple hospitals and mental institutions since ummm 2021. When I had cardiac arrest and multiple grand mal seizures depriving my brain from oxygen for eleven minutes or so. And I'm getting stronger and steady on my feet again finally 🙏 I couldn't have done it without my family and my son who I came back for.... It's a longer story than I wanna comment right now.. But I love you guys, this band, music... It's been more therapeutic for me than probably anything. 🤘 ❤ Love from the Dallas Texas area 🤠 😎

Nothing to see here folks. We all the know the industry is changing. As a band in 2024 you almost have to throw out a wild card / for-the-algorithm pop card to maintain relevancy. Everyone has bills to pay. This is not 'good' by any means but this is just how all the new rock sounds & I have honestly heard way worse compared to other butt-rock/ metalcore/ hardcore bands. This is clearly a lighthearted troll on the current climate and tik-tokification of everything but I really do hope they gain a few young listeners through this.

Holy fuck! Both of their clean singing together bouncing right off one another and then still having Spencer’s talk type chants and then absolutely bringing it super heavy with the screams! This band has always and will always be special!, such legends who brought the ground breaking elements & never fall off the wagon.
