►So while we are preparing KOF Destiny on the STILL THINKING FILMS channel, we have been casting and working with the cast behind the scenes to bring you guys some KOF content! Today we present to you a compilation of all the the KOF XV main and season pass 1 roster's individual STORY INTRO CUTSCENES
We tried our very best to find voice actors that we thought could stand side by side with the Japanese voice actors! A very tall task but something we are very proud of!

It is weird to me to listen Terry talking proper english instead of his iconic 'engrish'

As weird as it is hearing the cast speak English, this is amazing stuff dude! Love the voices, and I do wish SNK would provide an English dub for their games in the near future. Arc System Works did it with Strive, so I don't see why they can't try either!

Serious now... A few years ago i'd never expect to find such fine kof content, even remixes were pretty hard to find, and music is one of the most appreciated things by kof fans

i had been dabbling with that idea too. i picked names from all over (except the Canadian stable) to make a cast, not just for this game, but for the entire mainline series. i don't know much of voice acting, but i saw a few names that coincide here with my picks, and even less in the same role (not counting Geese). but this is a good list.

I'm glad you and the team did a beautiful job voicing these amazing characters in English since...well, you know....past KOF games had horrible English voice acting, which are KOF Maximum Impact 1 and 2 and KOF 12. To be fair the dub is not bad I just saw the climax video ralf sounded way better but IF POSSIBLE keep the original screaming part before landing the last punch or re-create the screaming part I think it's way better that way. It just my opinion tho 🙃

First and a little note: I think Isla should say "Este weón, come get this" since the word "weón" is a typical expression in Chile.
For my the best ones: K', Maxima, Terry, Ramón, Kula, Luong, Shermie, Vanessa, Meitenkun (The most accurate),Gato (Also most accurate), Ralf and Rugal.
Not the best but really good adaptations: Iori, Kyo, Clark, Vanessa, Kukri, Elisabeth
Honestly the worst one is Shun Ei, not by the actor, but i think the voice is "too manly" tbh. Also Iori's voice is hard to replicate since Kunihiko Yasui has such a distinctive voice, but a good rendition whatsoever.
Edit: Forget about Shun Ei, seen the other videos, the rest of lines are excelent and the perfect fit

Clark sounds like he smokes multiple packs of cigarettes a day... but I do like everything else. Great stuff.

In KOF Destiny, he's shown to have smoked half a box at least.
Not bad for voices in a series that's remained Japanese voiced. Good work, sir.
In my mind, I had Johnny Yong Bosch in the role of Kyo or Khronen, but the ones they have are not so bad.
Although, my dream of hearing the cast of the Fatal Fury anime movies play their respective parts in these games will probably not happen.
We've seen that around the internet. Many fancasts have JYB as Kyo but we personally think JYB's voice is way too high pitched in comparison to Maeno's deep richer voice. So we used JYB's voice as inspiration for Rock instead. For Krohnen we went with something that reminded us of Tetsuo from Akira.
@@StillThinkingGameDubs Understandable. The high pitched-ness of Bosch's voice that you mentioned does remind me of Vash the Stampede from Trigun.
So it makes sense that he would voice someone a bit younger like Rock.

Joshua Seth voiced Testruo in Akira. He would be a better choice for Khronen.

Shun Ei: the quiet Whisper was great, filled with calm resolve
Meiten: Sleepy boi trying his best to stay awake, VA fucking nailed it here
Kukri: the ever so mysterious one with minimal anger issues, i really wanna hear the forward throw line "KURAE" with this voice, simply delicious.
Elisabeth: maybe a bit eh.... what's the word? Prudish (?) sounding but then again I am very new to the series so maybe I need to get to know this character more. But those poems on her round victories is really what I'm looking forward to. So I will give a pass for now until I know her better
Ash: gimme all of this, need more deeper voiced feminine males. Yes, this is the horny talking, shut up!
Kyo: I mean this the best way, perfect 90's anime protagonist vibes
Chizuru: I am currently melting from the eargasm, this imo is the best of the bunch, sounding exactly how I picture Chizu in English
Iori: not to be outdone by Kyo, this one is pretty spot on for me too
Whip: this is prolly on of the only ones I'm not particularly feeling, but the job done is nonetheless amazing. Maybe its just a bit of bias against the character herself
Maxima: beeg bear Papa voice is Fantastic, line read sounds a little too fast but I imagine that's more of a lip syncing issue
K': aw yesh, need more of this sweet Sweet _eeedge_
Isla: WITH THE LANGUAGE SWITCH?A OK OK! Feels like the perfect topping to that arrogant tone
Dolores: umph, perfect
Heidern: gruff and heavy, need more!!
Terry: oh fuck, they did you justice! Major props to the VA here, that's an English Terry if I ever heard one

King: oh this hit multiple buttons I didn't even know I had. Please gimme more of this one, need to hear my main in English
Ryo: I'm not feeling this one, but it's really just a nitpick and I'm terrible at explanations so I can't quite elaborate the direction I think the VA needs to go
Robert: i think the worst thing here is the mic quality, which is to say this one was pretty good, keep it up.
Chris: the tone is great! Just feel like pitch is deeper than I was expecting. Other than that, superb delivery
Shermie:.......you ever just wanna marry someone off of their voice alone? That's what this one made me feel
Yashiro: a friend once joked that Yashiro would be voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, but I think, in my oh so humble opinion, that this version is 100x better
Mai: remember what I said about Chizu? yeah this but crank it to 11, wtf? Did the voice actor for Mai have a twin at birth or smth, this is crazy
Yuri: dunno if it's the mic but something off with this quality, but the spunk is there and I adore it, 110%
Athena: I hate this annoying ass gremlin with my heart and soul, and this voice brings me nothing but vitriolic thoughts. What I mean to say is, top notch Athena!!
Leona: please, for the love of GOD, this voice is too much for this world. By the end of the month, the legion of Leona fans will skyrocket more than they already do

@@lordronn472 depending on the work that needs to be done, yeah. English dubbing requires localization, scripting, directing, voice actors, studio time, etc... all those can be pretty expensive depending on the level of quality you want. I mean the work we do with this free fan project alone is immense and we all have to work remote do our own translating and everything.

Why do some of the men sound so deep and whispery and sound like they're up close to the mic? I think it's even more unfitting for a character like Ash considering that he would not at all have a deep voice.

@@StillThinkingGameDubs Mainly characters who you wouldn't expect to have deep voices. and characters who you would expect to have deep voices seem like the deepness was amplified a little like with Rugal, K', or Iori.
characters like Heidern have so much growl in their voice that it threw me off the very second I heard it. and while certain characters have accents many other characters who you'd expect to have accents don't. there are four french characters and none of them have a french accent. there are three mexican characters and only one of them actually has a mexican accent. only one of the french characters has an accent (that being Elizabeth) except hers is more british than french.
I'm sorry if I might be a little too nitpicky I just thought maybe throwing some criticism my help a little however, I will say the in game most of the voices sound much better than they do here especially in the ending cutscenes. though there still are some sour ones (like Billy for example). though personally I will say Geese straight up on point.

Most of the voices were great, but the voices for Kyo, Clark and Gato all felt un-natural.

All the other voices sounded accurate enough that I could believe the voice belonged to that character.
Ah then you probably would've felt the same with the Japanese then too since we based everyone's pitch on their original actors. I know Kyo looks like a pretty boy but his voice is actually quite manly in JP. But we do understand what you mean!
