If you look back @2:15 when you set to position it should let you select where the line will go. this can be adjusted by the percent boxes bellow. I found the highlighting of where the line will be is not always working so there may be an issue there but the user is not actually dragging the line around.
@@goengineer yeah I just discovered this tool coming from rhino and alias, it does allow you to do it but you have to click inside the face but its a bit finicky and have to re-click the menu box options a few times to get it to enable manual drag. one thing I'm trying to figure out is how to constrain it to other face curves to create a closed loop- anyway to do that?
