Corb Lund has a new album out called 'Losing Lately Gambler.' He and the Albertans dropped by for a hoedown in studio Q. This is their song 'Long Gone to Saskatchewan.' Кино
Living here in Colorado and considering moving back to the Midwest, this song seriously resonates with me.
Never thought a Canadian would revive country music. Well done Corb we’ve had enough of Luke Bryant for one life time.
Agreed
I remember the first time I seen him was at Klondike days in Edmonton. When he came up to the stage he was wearing cover-alls rubber boots and a straw hat, I have been hooked ever since.
My mother was born in Willow Bunch Saskatchewan 1921. She loved going back there a couple of times to the wheat fields.
Corb and the Albertan's very great indeed
Love this album too
Such an awesome performer
🆒
Saw him a couple of years ago, fronting for Great Big Sea. I love him!
Corb is a true performer. One of the strongest live artists ive heard.
Omg love it. I was born in Saskatchewan and have been there 1000 times, love SK and the ppl there
I always think I'm listening to Robert Earl Keen. Great sound
Absolutely, that person deserves a raise.
The fact he mentions TIM HUS is awesome!!!!!
@cameraperson this is real country, Corbs the real deal, always has been. Should be more like this!
he is always amazing live! seen him the past two times he has come to australia
I just discovered Corb yesterday! at a package store in Tennessee. Corb was being played loudly and wow I was saying who is that! I now know. My husband's father's family are from Saskatoon.
Whoever did the sound did an awesome job.
Y'all win this Texan over every time! Keep it country, boys; not too many true cowboys left.
Can confirm the song is popular in TX
Just love it!
.....love saskatchewan....
Played this song at my grad party in 2020, props to trigger.
This is great.
love this :D
I couldn't believe it when my niece squealed over Grant Siemens and said he looked like the hunk from Lady Antebellum! I guess the beards do it every time- or the mustaches- I just love the music- every time Corb comes to GP I'm there- usually the front row or thereabouts
Love it but want to move to Alberta!!!!
that's what i call country music
hell yeah
Two of Canada's finest: Corb and Jian.
This didn’t age well. I still love Corb, mind you.
Makes me want to move to Canada........almost.
Pirates of saskatchewan
Dang catchy! Did the Hurtin Albertans ever play w Stompin Tom eh
corbs doing a good job
now thats a guitar solo, greetz from a fellow taber guy
Hailed out
@cameraperson Aside from George Strait and a few RARE others, the rest of 'em seem as "Country" as a Kentucky Fried Chicken in the middle of New York. To quote Hank Williams III, "The Grand Ol' Opry ain't so Grand, anymore"
@cameraperson I'll have to take a look for him. I got into Canadian country through Corb Lund.
George Canyon is a proud Nova Scotian (not Albertan) :P
That being said, He announced plans to run for political office in southern Alberta, so he's definitely there now.
news.nationalpost.com/2014/01/24/canadian-country-singer-george-canyon-wants-to-be-an-mp-seeking-tory-nomination-in-southern-alberta/
hahaha corb lunds face when jian says george canyon is from alberta.
It's CBC. They're playing to a pre recorded track.
The music starts at 2:10
he lives in Edmonton where the band is based out of
Terri Clark was born in Montreal, Quebec
well she says shes an Albertan so.... shes an Albertan!
You can forgive her that, can you not?
Grant Siemens playing a killer B bender lead on this
Nailed it Corb cause the other guy didnt
@curtcurtcurtis1982 Right on man! That's a good'un, I'm gonna use that if ya don't mind.
He missed Paul Brandt... screwed up George Canyon and forgot Paul Brandt. Who is this dude?
um easterner of course lol
George Canyon is from Nova Scotia, not alberta.
@criticalsection
terrific production, isn't it?
@cameraperson If this is "Pop" it sure as hell sounds better than the Pop crap here in America!
lol because why else would you ever go there, to SK? Unless you want to be long gone.
grant is the greatest guitarist i've heard in 18 months. any genre.
@Brick663 What's to explain? I've read my comments and I think they stand on their own. Curtiscurtis told a racist joke and I among others called him on it and then reiterated that point to people who found it necessary to defend the racism. Just one white guy who thinks that the whole "slagging natives" thing is pretty juvenile and suggests something more wrong with the person telling the joke than the subject of the joke itself.
@cameraperson
Thats pop?? On what pop station have you heard music like that?? Tim Hus is great as well but Corb ain't pop
@trexpaddock
sounds like that comment was written by a six year old
dont you think his bass/fiddle player looks just like stompin toms bass player
u hear about all the natives are movin to saskatchewan? yea they heard there's no work out there
ridley bent
It sounds like the lyrics were written by a six year old.
curtcurtcurtis, jaytheredneck, brick, you're hurtin' canadians, but not in any hip kinda way
Q? Nummer 17? Donald John Trump?
@katskratchkustumz Your logic is hilariously pathetic. Someone points out an obviously racist comment and you denounce the guy as lazy?!?!?! You and curtiscurtis and anyone who hit thumbs up to his comment need to join the 21st century. Plus, why the hell he thought it was cool to post it on this particular video shows the juvenile nature of him and his defenders like you.
@curtcurtcurtis1982 You fucking racist maggot. Fuck you.
Hey Jian Ghomeshi, you totally suck! Way to bugger up this interview! You know nothing about Saskatchewan!
Yuck!!!
