The Darul Aman Palace is a historical building located about 16 kilometers southwest of the center of Kabul, Afghanistan. Built in the 1920s during the reign of King Amanullah Khan, the palace was intended as a symbol of modernization and reform in Afghanistan.
Designed in a European neoclassical style, the palace has experienced various phases of damage and restoration throughout its history. It was heavily damaged during the Soviet invasion in the 1980s and further devastated during the civil war in the 1990s.
