Eye Prosthesis Still the Best Artificial Eye Solution

Scientists say bionic eyes are not too far away, but, until they become widely available, many people around the world will have to continue living with prosthetic eyes. Still, highly trained technicians called ocularists can manufacture prosthetic eyes hardly distinguishable from normal ones, making the lives of their patients much more pleasant. That’s not true there aren’t any special implants that attach to the muscle if the patients eye is still there and haven’t been removed. It’s just a regular shell that goes over top of they actual eye and it allows it to move slightly because of the eye behind it.
