Thanks to his parents who taught him how to accept himself as he is, and for his courage&sure hard times to put up with all the mean people in this world..
I have microphthalmia and i'm using prosthetic eye for more than 15+ years. It is very difficult and traumatic to deal with this situation and peoples reactions since childhood. Deep eye contact is impossible because the person with whom you are trying to make eye contact is either trying to examine the prosthetic eye or wants to find out if there is something wrong with our eyes. It's a very difficult thing to deal with from the very beginning to the very end. You want to be isolated from society because you don't want another person to make fun of you or throw weird looks at you. Whatever you do, you cannot feel beautiful. Although many people say "oh I didn't realize you had a problem with your eyes", you know very well that they say it just to be kind and not to break your heart. These are things I have experienced at least a few million times, and I still carry these wounds and traumas in my heart. I hope nobody has to live what I feel and experience.
I just assumed that you’d be grateful to have a prosthetic eye 👁 rather nothing in your eye socket at all. After 15 years, you should be used to it by now, even give it a name such as ‘Iris’ it’s now a part of you.

Bro I'm 52 and had retino bastoma also and live with the affects of cancer. Lost my eye also. I admire your strength. Honestly losing my eye never affected me doing anything.. I work in a major hospital and see the worst of alot of things. Thanks for being strong and open. I'm sure you will inspire young people losing an eye to be confident and strong
i’ve just been diagnosed with eye cancer and removing my eye was one of the options. i ended up choosing to go through radiation therapy bc the thought of losing my eye is terrifying but after watching his videos it’s helped me feel much more at ease 🙏🏼
I hope things are going OK for you. When my eye became dangerously infected a couple days after a minor surgery, the surgeon asked me if I agreed to remove the eye. I asked her what the alternative was, and she said leave it in and let the infection go into my brain. It wasn't much of a choice, so I had the surgery right away. You'll be surprised at your own strength when you need it. Try to hang in there and don't be afraid to let other people help you.
I’m blind in my left eye and it’s a lazy eye I’d rather just get it removed tbh and get glass eyes. Make my face a fashion statement get different colors match them with different outfits I bet I can even get a custom one made but have them “paint” designs instead of a basic eye. I mean how cool would it be to have the Arizona green tea with ginseng logo tree and the cool turquoise color in the back ground behind the tree.
It's not cool in my experience actually, I would rather want to just be normal and in India where I am from people are not accepting and insensitive. You try to be strong and express yourself, people will talk s*** behind your back or say something insensitive. You have to accept the constant stares you get. Also the cost of prosthetic eye is really expensive and most people can't afford it. The person in the video is able to afford different designs. Also some people re colour their old prosthesis, which is an option. I am yet to do that since it's only been 2 years for me. We should get a new prosthesis every 3-5 years. Another thing to keep in mind is that the prosthesis can never replace the look of a real eye, the main problem being the lack of moment, it varies in different people depending on the strength of your eye muscles. If you end up having less movement, you have to constantly look straight or you look ridiculous or cross eyed. Also your eye socket can become sunken and small, if you make a bigger prosthesis there is a chance of your undereye lid sagging. My ocularist didn't do a good job to make the prosthesis look real, bit looks like a drawn circle and easily noticed by people. Since it was expensive I have to wait 2 more years until I can get a better one. With all these problems of my prosthesis and as a female, I just wish to go back in time. But we have to stay strong and keep remembering that their are bigger problems. Honestly if people treated me better, this would have been a lot easier to get through.
This was my first time seeing a prosthetic eye and honestly I wouldn’t care if that young man put his prosthetic on or off he has such a kind soul so it wouldnt matter much.
Hello young man, you do great video. I lost my left eye in 1983 out of the blue by a sudden retina detachment. First it was terrible. Then I learned to walk on with this. Now I am a happy married grandfather and retired engineer from Germany. I make a long dream come through and wrote a book about it, first in the German language then I translate it in English. I hope it is ok to mention this. The name of the kindle ebook is: “Walk On: As you are today” ❤🎉
As someone with a fake eye this is all pretty accurate. Though to wash mine I just leave it in a cup of water overnight every once in a while when it's getting gross. If anyone has any questions I'd be happy to answer them.
@@nishkavn1755 thank you for your question. My eye is also brown though a bit darker than his. I do have one that's custom, it's a skull and crossbones with bloodshot veins in it that my parents got me to wear when I was younger for Halloween. So it can fall out easily but it still fits in my eye.
@@georgethecactus7499 thank you for your question, it's not too personal. I was born with some sort of birth effect where my eye just didn't grow for some reason. No idea what the medical term for that is, so I've had one since I was really little.
I lost mine when I was 15 due to a bb gun accident. It did take time to get used to it. I'm 38 now so it's like I don't hardly miss it (until I bump into someone or something lol). I didn't get my first prosthetic until I was 34 when I also had the bb removed from my head finally. I had tried for years to save it with multiple surgeries but it looked like someone took an egg beater to my eye and glued it back together. Kids used to be scared and I'd even hear them call me a monster. It used to bug me but now I just embrace it. The absolute worst is forgetting to take it out before going swimming. I lost mine in a pool one time and it went face-down. Had to do a lot of diving that day to retrieve it. Now I'm looking into making my own unique eyes for different occasions. Haven't met many others like myself so it's nice to find you here. I know you just talking about it will help someone. I didn't have that and it made it harder so thank you. Great video. Thanks for sharing. I went blind in one of my eyes from a virus when I was 2 years old. One of my eyes is a cloudy blue color.I wore a specially made contact lens($400) which matched my other eye for two yrs in highschool, it was uncomfortable and I learned to love myself. I'm 30 now and of course sometimes I do get self conscious when people stare at my eye or ask about it....
Heck I enjoy showing it off. You should've seen the kids at my daughter's school when I ate lunch with her the other day. She said "Dad show em your eye trick" and I popped it out for all the kids. I could tell she'd been telling war stories about me. Kinda made me feel special and glad that she was proud to have the "freakishly cool" dad.

This was very interesting and educational for me. Sounds like you have adjusted well and are confident in who you are. However, from what we have experienced, I know you had to go through many days learning how to treat the eye socket. My grandson was born last year with multiple facial problems, one of which was a missing eye. The other eye did not have an eyelid, but had the eye. He has the lid and lashes, just no eye. He is now wearing conformers. Thank you for enlightening viewers as we are learning what to do.

The amount of these “comments” are so unreal. He’s a actual human like you like me with real feelings. Just because he’s different doesn’t mean you should be feeling some type of way. I do too have a prosthetic eye and I wish I had the confidence that he has but I’m learning every day to accept it. I normally hide half my face so no one would see I’m different. I’m extremely happy he’s comfortable with it and he’s showing you his reality. I’ve seen him many times of Tiktok and I do follow him and two others with the same condition. We’re just different

i’ve just been diagnosed with eye cancer and removing my eye was one of the options. i ended up choosing to go through radiation therapy bc the thought of losing my eye is terrifying but after watching his videos it’s helped me feel much more at ease 🙏🏼
This was my first time seeing a prosthetic eye and honestly I wouldn’t care if that young man put his prosthetic on or off he has such a kind soul so it wouldnt matter much.
the entire atmosphere changed when he started the story.
Just imagine somebody hires this man to be a magician it would scare the crap out of everybody

"Sup bro, what yo doin"

As someone with a fake eye this is all pretty accurate. Though to wash mine I just leave it in a cup of water overnight every once in a while when it's getting gross. If anyone has any questions I'd be happy to answer them.
What color is your eye? Also if u wanted a purple eye could u get one that would be so pretty
I understand if it’s too personal but just curious as to how you lost it?

One eyed people rock haha!
