Rest in peace to Keiko Yamamoto, the voice actress who played Osper who recently passed away earlier this year, thank you for all of the voices that you've given to characters for decades! She will be dearly missed.

"Tatakae! Osper"/戦え!オスパー is an anime made in 1965 by Nihon Hoso Eigasha/日本放送映画. Most of the material is now lost, however some of the episodes audio is preserved through sonosheets. One day I would love for this whole series to be found and released. This is about 8 minutes of episode 40 - Castle of Terror that I ripped from my record player. Enjoy!
子供のころリアタイで見ていてギリギリ記憶はあるものの、細部はさすがに覚えていない。主題歌以外に覚えているのはドロメはテレポートができないということぐらいだ……
コメントありがとう！私は残念ながら若すぎるし、アメリカ出身なので、悲しいことにオスパーを見たことがありません。古典的なアニメについて調べていてオスパーのことを知り、すぐに興味が湧きました。 私はオスパーのフィルムがもっと発見されるのを見たいし、願わくばBDでリリースされるのを見たい！
@@simfan96 It's one of the animes in the early days japan, that contributed to establishing a typical image of ESPers. The animation is somewhat clumsy, but I loved the sci-fi-themed stories.
@@gm3d945 It's really cool to see it's influence of Osper with Espers and sci-fi in general, it was actually one of Yoshiyuki Tomino's first works he was involved in. From what I've researched, there were a lot of interesting stories that Osper has, apparently it scared some kids from the day and had some dark episodes. "Bloody Seeds" with these flying blood sucking creatures and "Gate of Hell" which has a strange building where people would go in and were never heard from again among other episodes. I see what you mean by clumsy animation, very similar animation to another one of Nihon Hoso Eigasha, Bouken Shonen Shadar hahaha. Sci-fi stories like these are a lot of fun, hopefully one day we will see more of Osper.
