Wow Fleur can’t believe your baby is nearly here! I had an emergency c section and honestly, my recovery was great and super fast! So focus on your baby and also keep on top of your pain meds and you’ll be fine! Also, try and get up and mobile as soon as you’re allowed. It feels weird but really does help!

You're totally right- scheduled C-sections are COMPLETELY different from emergency sections! I'm a medical student and I've done so many deliveries now- planned C-sections tend to be pretty quick, controlled and way less stress for mom, baby, and the doctors! Plus you really only have to stay in the hospital 1 day more. Vaginal deliveries can be super difficult and traumatic for people too even though it seems "natural", so it's always best to do what's medically indicated 👌🏽 wish you a safe delivery!
I am 5ft 3 and have a short torso and I remember feeling SO FULL at the end of my pregnancies - it was like my bump started under my throat and ended at my knees! It was rough! These last few weeks are precious times - enjoy every minute! xx
Currently 5 months and your vlogs have been one of the things that have kept me going and excited through what was the worst first four months (diagnosed with HG, aka, severe morning sickness). Love them all and will be going back and re-watching some for your lovely tips and recommendations :)

You’re looking fantastic, Fleur! You also have a very healthy view of the pregnancy and labor & delivery. I’m a labor & delivery/postpartum nurse and there is nothing to fear with the c-section. Be sure to get up and walk as soon as you’re able after surgery even though it hurts because you’ll feel much better. Best of luck to you! So excited for you to meet your little one. My daughter is now 5 months and my pregnancy was so rough. My pelvis was completely tilted and caused birth issues but everything turned out okay. Being a mum is so much better that being pregnant and so much more rewarding than I could have ever imagined 🎉✨

I’m 32 weeks and I feel you ❤️❤️ Thanks for doing what’s in my hospital bag :) I remember asking for one ❤️❤️ I had an emergency CS On my first born, He will be 2 in s few days :) This time I was hoping for a planned CS because I carry another large baby ... but I won’t know for sure until week 36 after meassuring again. But iF she is meassuring Big still They won’t let me have a vag birth since Its too Soon since my last. My son was 4,8 kg 🙈 You look beautiful Fleur ❤️❤️❤️

I have given birth vaginally and scheduled c section ... it’s kind of a relief to know when you will have her. You will do amazing! My #1 advice is as soon as you can get up and move it has helped me and others I know recover faster. I hope you aren’t in the hospital on Christmas or New Years! Can’t wait to hear the name I’m sure it’s beautiful! Congrats and prayers for safe and easy delivery! ❤️
At 36.6 my waters broke with our 1st daughter so I needed an emergency caesarean. I was lucky to recover really well & be home in less than 24 hours. I gave birth @ 16:08pm & the next morning was walking around. It’s not entirely pain free but it’s totally bearable & I continued as normal as I could so not to overdo it & affect myself healing. So I’m glad you’re being so calm about it. I didn’t need a c-sec with our 2nd daughter who is now 9 months! You also look amazing & I’m so excited for you & Mike. I’m so broody & I have a baby & 3 year old!🙈xx

Beautiful Fleur! Our little girl Georgia Marie is one month old today. Following you for years and loved sharing this journey with you. We had so many the same pregnancy symptoms (same weight gain, breathlessness, hunger etc) and also share the ones we dont have. Good luck with the last few weeks. Take it easy and relax. It feels like you will never have enough time to be prepared for Bub’s arrival and at the same time you can’t wait to hold that kid. My daughter was born at 37 weeks and although my partner was excited about her arrival he was in a bit of shock he kept saying “I had 3 more weeks to get everything ready”. The most important thing is that you try to enjoy your time it’s pretty special 😊

Dear Fleur, My first nephew was expected to be a breech birth, so they planned a cesarienne and my sister was quite relieved to have a date and a plan, and no emergency or stress for her first child. The plus is the baby does not have to struggle to come out and arrives smooth and rested ;- ) She had her second son without cesarienne, and quite easily. I guess you know all that and you don't need my "auntie" experience, but if that can help,who knows ? ;-) PS : I bought this jumper in white last year thanks to you, and still have compliments this year when I wear it ;-)
I know right! The jumper is from Topshop last year! It’s a really lose cut, so still fits... had totally forgotten about it till recently as I’ve been keeping my maternity clothes separate to my normal wardrobe - was so happy to resdiscover it now it’s getting cold!!! :)
Hi Fleur! I had a planned c section just under 4 weeks ago and I have to say it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be! I was terrified that I was going to be in pain and have trouble looking after my baby for the first few weeks. The worst part is being stuck in a hospital bed for 24hrs because of the spinal which prevents you from changing your baby or even getting up to pick her up. You have to ask other people to do everything for you. I can honestly say after the first day once you are aloud to get out of bed you will feel much better! Get up as soon as possible and get yourself in the shower, walk around, don't be scared to move. Walking will be your best friend! Hope it all goes well!! 😊

Hey Fleur, I've had two c-sections myself. First was emergent, second was planned. You've probably been given tons of tips, but there was a couple I wanted to share if you or anyone else was interested. 1. Use the mechanical bed to help you sit up, you'll have no abdomen muscle strength to do it yourself. 2. Ask them for a waist wrap, it helps with any movement and helps you feel like you're keeping yourself together. 3. Bring special shower stuff, you're first shower after feels amazing! 4. Get up and walk as soon as your able, you'll recover better. 5. Maybe a little TMI, but keep taking any colace/stool softener in the hospital, again you have no abdomen strength after and your intestines have gone through a shock with the surgery, you'll need it! You look amazing and it sounds like you have a great support system! Good luck!

I am a woman, Michelle. Don't be scared, I had 3 C-sections, first one emergency after hours of labor; last two planned. My hips were just not large enough to get large babies out, 9 pounders! The first one was a bit rough with the labor than the surgery, but the two planned ones were pretty easy. My only worry was that I felt bad for my hubby that he did not get to experience the "normal" delivery progress; but he as assured me that it did not bother him one bit, he was just happy the the baby and I were safe and happy. Don't worry, you will do wonderful, and you will be a wonderful Mum, because you are a wonderful Mum to your fur babies! Tell us how your for babies are with your bump, at the time of my pregnancy (33 years ago), our Crocker Spaniel was fascinated with the bump and would cuddle it quite a bit, once our son arrived, that was her baby, she loved our baby to the point of not wanting people near him! Good luck and I will pray for you all!

I am 5ft 3 and have a short torso and I remember feeling SO FULL at the end of my pregnancies - it was like my bump started under my throat and ended at my knees! It was rough! These last few weeks are precious times - enjoy every minute! xx

Fleur I’m a children’s nurse and I have seen many births and planned sections are by far the most relaxed births I have seen. They are lovely, relaxed and controlled 🙂👍🏼 best of luck. Can’t wait to see the baby 💕

You’re looking fantastic, Fleur! You also have a very healthy view of the pregnancy and labor & delivery. I’m a labor & delivery/postpartum nurse and there is nothing to fear with the c-section. Be sure to get up and walk as soon as you’re able after surgery even though it hurts because you’ll feel much better. Best of luck to you! I’m very excited for both you and Mike, you’re going to be brilliant parents!
So excited for you to meet your little one. My daughter is now 5 months and my pregnancy was so rough. My pelvis was completely tilted and caused birth issues but everything turned out okay. Being a mum is so much better that being pregnant and so much more rewarding than I could have ever imagined 🎉✨
I️ just had a c section after full labour and pushing and I️ was surprised at how OK the recovery was! You’ll be just fine 😊

I’m 32 weeks and I feel you ❤️❤️ Thanks for doing what’s in my hospital bag :) I remember asking for one ❤️❤️ I had an emergency CS On my first born, He will be 2 in s few days :) This time I was hoping for a planned CS because I carry another large baby ... but I won’t know for sure until week 36 after meassuring again. But iF she is meassuring Big still They won’t let me have a vag birth since Its too Soon since my last. My son was 4,8 kg 🙈 You look beautiful Fleur ❤️❤️❤️

I have given birth vaginally and scheduled c section ... it’s kind of a relief to know when you will have her. You will do amazing! My #1 advice is as soon as you can get up and move it has helped me and others I know recover faster. I hope you aren’t in the hospital on Christmas or New Years! Can’t wait to hear the name I’m sure it’s beautiful! Congrats and prayers for safe and easy delivery! ❤️
At 36.6 my waters broke with our 1st daughter so I needed an emergency caesarean. I was lucky to recover really well & be home in less than 24 hours. I gave birth @ 16:08pm & the next morning was walking around. It’s not entirely pain free but it’s totally bearable & I continued as normal as I could so not to overdo it & affect myself healing. So I’m glad you’re being so calm about it. I didn’t need a c-sec with our 2nd daughter who is now 9 months! You also look amazing & I’m so excited for you & Mike. I’m so broody & I have a baby & 3 year old!🙈xx

Beautiful Fleur! Our little girl Georgia Marie is one month old today. Following you for years and loved sharing this journey with you. We had so many the same pregnancy symptoms (same weight gain, breathlessness, hunger etc) and also share the ones we dont have. Good luck with the last few weeks. Take it easy and relax. I'm so happy and excited for you and Mike. As far as c section goes - all you want is a healthy baby and mum and if that involves medical intervention then so what. I loved being pregnant and that feeling when you cradle your newborn child - nothing will ever beat it.

It feels like you will never have enough time to be prepared for Bub’s arrival and at the same time you can’t wait to hold that kid. My daughter was born at 37 weeks and although my partner was excited about her arrival he was in a bit of shock he kept saying “I had 3 more weeks to get everything ready”. The most important thing is that you try to enjoy your time it’s pretty special 😊

Dear Fleur,
My first nephew was expected to be a breech birth, so they planned a cesarienne and my sister was quite relieved to have a date and a plan, and no emergency or stress for her first child.
The plus is the baby does not have to struggle to come out and arrives smooth and rested ;- )
She had her second son without cesarienne, and quite easily.
I guess you know all that and you don't need my "auntie" experience, but if that can help,who knows ? ;-)
PS : I bought this jumper in white last year thanks to you, and still have compliments this year when I wear it ;-)

I know right! The jumper is from Topshop last year! It’s a really lose cut, so still fits... had totally forgotten about it till recently as I’ve been keeping my maternity clothes separate to my normal wardrobe - was so happy to resdiscover it now it’s getting cold!!! :)
Hi Fleur! I had a planned c section just under 4 weeks ago and I have to say it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be! I was terrified that I was going to be in pain and have trouble looking after my baby for the first few weeks. The worst part is being stuck in a hospital bed for 24hrs because of the spinal which prevents you from changing your baby or even getting up to pick her up. You have to ask other people to do everything for you. I can honestly say after the first day once you are aloud to get out of bed you will feel much better! Get up as soon as possible and get yourself in the shower, walk around, don't be scared to move. Walking will be your best friend! Hope it all goes well!! 😊

I giggled so much at the part when you talked about being hungry all the time, then eat too quick and are too full! This is me all of the time now (35 weeks), but I am getting the worst heartburn. I think we would be delighted for some old school vlogging with MDF cooking ( i remember he always does the ham with marmalade) and you guys out walking the dogs. Hey Fleur, I've had two c-sections myself. First was emergent, second was planned. You've probably been given tons of tips, but there was a couple I wanted to share if you or anyone else was interested. 1. Use the mechanical bed to help you sit up, you'll have no abdomen muscle strength to do it yourself. 2. Ask them for a waist wrap, it helps with any movement and helps you feel like you're keeping yourself together. 3. Bring special shower stuff, you're first shower after feels amazing! 4. Get up and walk as soon as your able, you'll recover better. 5. Maybe a little TMI, but keep taking any colace/stool softener in the hospital, again you have no abdomen strength after and your intestines have gone through a shock with the surgery, you'll need it! You look amazing and it sounds like you have a great support system! Good luck!

I am a woman, Michelle. Don't be scared, I had 3 C-sections, first one emergency after hours of labor; last two planned. My hips were just not large enough to get large babies out, 9 pounders! The first one was a bit rough with the labor than the surgery, but the two planned ones were pretty easy. My only worry was that I felt bad for my hubby that he did not get to experience the "normal" delivery progress; but he as assured me that it did not bother him one bit, he was just happy the the baby and I were safe and happy. Don't worry, you will do wonderful, and you will be a wonderful Mum, because you are a wonderful Mum to your fur babies! Tell us how your for babies are with your bump, at the time of my pregnancy (33 years ago), our Crocker Spaniel was fascinated with the bump and would cuddle it quite a bit, once our son arrived, that was her baby, she loved our baby to the point of not wanting people near him!
