I kinda wondered why they didn’t kiss actually. Like at all. I mean in any other series I would have thought it was censorship due to them being gay. Don’t get me wrong, I am all for characters expressing love in non sexual ways but it felt like these two characters had a pretty sexual relationship so the hug felt almost a bit of following the “your so hot right now” line. I wondered if either the actresses had expressed a not comfortable with kissing-boundary or if the showrunners did not want to take away from the kiss at the end of the episode.
@@burpingcricket I hear what you're saying but I have a different interpretation of this. We've already seen them be overtly sexual, and we know that sex is tied to the more unhealthy aspects of their relationship - they keep the physical chemistry alive with abuse, manipulation, and mockery. But in this moment, yes Mary is telling Anne how hot she is, but it's different this time: Anne set the house on fire FOR Mary, instead of to antagonize her. This is a rare moment of earnest tenderness between them. So instead of making out, like they normally would in their toxic, sexually-charged fighting, they actually tenderly embrace. I think that's why it feels so jarring - the hug is actually MORE intimate than kissing, because we know they make out while angry, but this hug only happens when they feel the closest to each other.
have you watched the promo for episodes 6 & 7? there are a couple of shots that seem suggestive but I have my doubts because promos and teasers tend to be misleading
“Not even given each other a handy?” I’m crying
Can't stop laughing at Ed's "see you guys" just so fucking casual
Fun fact in the hungarian dub, Ed says the equivalent of "bye girlies". It had me and my dad rolling on the floor. XD
@@trollkienofficial1225he really said "viszlát, csajok!"? This is amazing!!!
@@trollkienofficial1225 I love that so much
@@annaneves6757 He said "pá, csajok".
@@trollkienofficial1225 even better lol
“yeah, YOUR HOUSE IS ON FIRE!!”
I really like how instead of doing a make-out session the middle of a burning house they just hug.

@@calliope720 exactly
I heard that one of them was sick and they were only there for a few days so they couldn't kiss. I dunno how true this is, but :/
@@calliope720also fucking love this interpretation btw
The way Ed’s face quickly goes from adoring puppy to pissed off the second they’re interrupted🤣
Pls keep uploading I can’t watch the new season yet 🥲
Minnie Driver was so, so hot in this episode.
@0:10 I wonder if this will change before s3. And whether they'll shoot a love scene or just pan somewhere or just mention it 🤔
