Well, I was always talking with friends after the matches and analyzing it with them, then I had the idea to start this channel to share this with you guys. I did some researches to improve my content as it was totally different when I started. I'm so happy that you guys are liking it :)
Good anylysis, anyone who has been following the France team will understand that France aren't playing for possesion, they'd rather the other team have the possession while they defend and then quickly counter. The first two France goals are debatable, but none of France fault, the referee was bad and Croatia themselves helped them get the two goals. Even if you put away the first two goals, France would still win 2-1, Lloris made an error of judgement and mandjukic would'nt have attempted it if he hadn't scored that own goal. France were the better team throughout the tournament tactically and skill wise and mentally. They did not get behind for more than 9 mins the entire tourno while Croatia dragged themselves thin the entire tourno and eventually it tired them. They were happy with the second place, since it's still a national record but the France team was ready to give their all, it was do or die for them. For a defensive team they also scored the goal of the tournament and had the brightest young player in decades, this shows France were a better team.
I think it is conceivable that Croatia allows Mbappe to go through one on one in the second half. Croatia have done a remarkable high line pressure to stop France's building on attacks, Pogba was trapped in the diamond you mentioned above and he did not provide too much quality long ball. Strinic marked Mbappe well as he wasn't allowed to turn . But the scoreline forced Croatia players going forward and left too much spaces exposed at the back, that's isn't really the manager can do for it

@Matthew True, but Croatia were unable to take advantage of their midfield dominance, they only shot 3 times on target. Also, Kanté was ill and as soon as he was subbed by N'Zonzi, France started dominating the game.

They had 0 shot attempts first half still leading 2:1 with crazy luck and circumstances . Second half they had few shots all of them went in it just one of those games when everything goes your way and not because ur playing better but just because ur having that day. They v looked good in the defence and Nzonzi brought more stability than Kante but still there were some mistakes like Varane for example when Mandzukic took the ball away from him on the wing and came into the box alone but couldnt provide better finish or pass. France wasnt perfect there were some holes but unfortunately Croatian attackers didnt have their best day. Also Croatia had like 7 corners first half and some of those corners opened up really well to score for example the one when Umtiti had to exit the game because he was gettting medical attention and that corner opened up really well for Vida he had a good header like 5 meters away from the goal but just couldnt connect.

The only time France changed their game is when N'Zonzi came in at 55', and France killed the game, scoring at 59' and 65'.
Croatia were even lucky Lloris gave away their 2nd goal and Pogba unexplicably erred in front of the empty goal at the end of the game.

France got two goals for a dive and a penalty that was none (not if you know VAR should only be used in clear missteps by referee, like Griezmann's dive for example, which gave France the lead).

If situation was reversed and if France had a handball like that then would you Croatian supportrs want a penalty or not???.. it's simple as that. Let's be real, a lot of coaches and analysts said that it was a wrong decision. While it was hand play, he couldnt really move the hand at that speed and the ball wasnt going to any of the france players, he gave a penatly for a play where there was no chance of goal in reality

I watched every single game and there have been plenty of times the refs have been controversial, this very same ref has literally one of the worst eye and everybody didn't want him, but fifa wanted him, since they always have the same ref for the first match and final match. If you have problem with that go ask fifa, but the french team had nothing to do with it. If they wanted they could have bought their euro16 if that's the logic.
We can agree on the basic facts, and btw, did I say the French engineered all of this? No, of course I did not. I said, as did all the elite commentators, that this was the train wreck, via VAR - which was new, and relatively untested, at least in the WC milieu - that they had all feared would eventually manifest, and there had been NOTHING close to this decision as far as actual impact on the game, at least in the games past the group stage. It is true about France marking Modric and tightening the center of their defense, but on the other hand that left Croats wings and they created several chances attacking through wings. On the other hand you do not mention Croats pressing even the French midfield and the French players lost lots of balls in the midfield and made a lot of passing mistakes. In the first half Croatia was clearly the better team. If France were not so lucky with their goal who knows what might have happened.

It is true, you are absolutely right. They should have scored more especially in the first half. But they did score 2 (one gifted by the goalkeeper) and France scored two (penalty it was not, and the free kick before the goal also was not). So each team scored two deserved goals.

The penalty was justify..why would someone stop the project of a ball. Again, unfortunate, but fair. Croatia did their best, but lost to a better team. Croatia dominated the entire game same as Belgium did...this France reminds me of Greece when they took Euro cup with 100 % defending football....sad part is the ref conditioned the game against Croatia at their best moment. Referees are humans, they have to take quick decisions in a game that goes very fast. They are bound to make bad calls. Sometimes it goes one team's way, sometimes the other. As a matter of fact, there were a few bad calls in favour of Croatia.
Croatia tired themselves out in the first 30 minutes pressing too hard just to have more possession. It all went downhill from there. Now if Croatians can't admit that an own goal followed by a handball in the box isn't the opponent "being lucky", I'm afraid I don't have good news for them.

In a way, the way they won thoses games set up their destiny in the final. At the end, the prolongations were useful to reach the final, but were counterproductive to win it. They are true fighters, but it's not enough to win such a competition. One France's big advantage is the coach, ways better than the croatian. Deschamps made his team win the games without to suffer too much, and the frenchs were ready for the final. In a WC all is important.

What's hilarious is people like yourself thinking they have some tactical grasp of the game. France were torn apart in the first half, barely touched the ball. This was nothing to do with tactics it was one team giving another a real pasting. By cheating and a terrible ref they amazingly managed to get 2 goals, which was insane. It should have been 1-0 Croatia then it would have been completly different second half. Worst world cup winners in a long, long time.

I disagree. Croatia had the control of the midfield for 50 minutes and were unable to take advantage. It had already occurred in their previous knockout stage games. They lacked a good defense and a more efficient attack.

The main concept of the french side was minimum pass & maximum score. Not only this game but through out the whole tournament this was their strategy & they gain success by it. What will you do after having the ball if you don't know how to score. That's why the were the best team in this world cup.
Why are you even playing if you don't know how you will score. To play good football you should always know how you are planning on scoring. And you should always want to have the ball. If you are not doing that then you are not using the full potential of your players. Or your players have no potential. 3 great players don't make a great team.
France knew they had a good midfield (Pogba and Griezman) and a very fast striker who could go 1v1 (Mbappè) and a tall guy to catch a header or two when in position (Giroud). They capitalized on the counter attacks and solid defensive midfielders (Kante).

You lost because you didn't have France efficiency. What you should have done, is scoring a goal in the early beggining of the game because the clock was in France's side.

Croatia were highly inefficient in defense and attack, which is why they had a hard time qualifying against average teams, and why they couldn't take advantage of their midfield superiority. France, on the contrary, were highly efficient in defense and attack. As soon as they subbed Kanté, who was ill, by N'zonzi, they started dominating the game, scoring twice in 7 minutes. Dalic should have subbed Subasic, who wasn't fit to play.
They were no average teams on this World Cup... this is the only truth about this WC ( just look Iran, Russia or Japan?! ) BTW. I agree we had many problems in defense from breaks and that is the way most of the goals ended in our net! On the other hand what you call efficiency I call luck....especially your first 2 group matches against Australia and Peru.. I watch those matches and both of that games could easily end up differently and now we wouldn't even having this conversation..... Match against Denmark was pure BS and it's not worth talking about... ( it was a fixed match to a score 0-0 so both teams pass the group stage! )
Belgium-Brazil-Croatia were the top three teams of WC 2018. In Final, Croatia played better game but two "own" goals did not help. GK could have done better in first two goals. He refused to jump on first one and jumped too early on the penalty. It seems Croatian forward line was playing with "mental block" against scoring goals meaning just can't finish the job of scoring. Also, it seems Croatia does not do well in scoring from set pieces despite having strong and tall players. MBappe was unstoppable, his speed is ruthlessly efficient. 3rd goal, Modric should have gone 1 on 1 with Pogba and stopped him from taking the shot, instead he ran into the box to offer a block and 4th goal two defenders should have smothered Mbappe rather than counting on Vida to produce a block. Still, well played everyone in WC 2018. We enjoy soccer as always.

Main problem of this WC is that people are used to give credit to the team who has the possession but this World Cup showed that you don't need necessarly possession to win
If you look back at the match you'll see that offensively Croatia was not so effective, in the first half that's true they were better but just like Croation-England, France came back with a more solid defence and then Croatia was not so dangerous.

I don't think they were a better team it's biaised it was tough match but France was probably superior defensively (1 goal taken (if we don't consider big goal keeper mistake) and 2 scored while Croatia only scored one so here it is
Two points were to have high probabilities a) Modric would be heavily marked b) Mbappe's speed could cause lots of problems. Seem Croatians did not plan anything specific for these. Modric fell back to get the ball and when into French half got marked by two. This surely hurt his passing and playmaking abilities. Mbappe's danger had to be nullified but how I don't know. Surely, it's not the possession that matters much, it is how many chance team creates towards scoring goals and how efficient are they when the chances show up. However, low possession reduces the chances of goal scoring balls. Quick counter attacks are one way and we did not see much of that from Croatian team.

Altought my Croatia lost with the huge help of the ref I am very proud on them. French players were really outclassed and I only wonder if this team is really that great or the French are weaker then they are.
