Even though many people say that this anime has a lot of flaws and yeah I know it does but I actually really don't care because no matter how old I get I can never forget this anime as it has played a huge part in making me watch anime and I couldn't have it any other way since I wouldn't have gotten into this amazing anime community without it. I finished Anohana last week. I read a review once that said: "If you want aa series that reduces someone to a flood of tears when they hear the opening notes of a song, Anohana is the series for you" At the time i thought that was a little silly. Yet here i am, i ended up accidentally tearing up and struggling to hold it together over Discord when i showed this video to my friend who was interested in watching Anohana.
I didn't watch the show and I only watched the ending but. I could already tell that they were happy but she had to disappear. And the pain really hits in the ending even without knowing the rest of it.
This arrangement somehow managed to capture every bit of the emotion of the original, while still being original enough to outshine it. Even 4 years later, the amazing composition, editing, and quality of this is enough to bring be back to cry again. I'm not sure where you are today, or what you're doing now, but thank you for all of your wonderful arrangements. Even if you don't make it back to doing guitar on RUclips any time soon, I don't think anyone else will be able to compete with the sheer amount of emotion and skill put into this, and you'll forever be the GOAT in my books.

I've never seen this anime, I've barely heard anything about it. I avoid spoilers by not watching the screen, only listening. This sounds....nostalgic. I've never seen it, but hearing this makes me feel like I have, reflecting on the events. Or it reminds me of my childhood. When we were all innocent and all we cared about was fun. It has a bittersweet tune. The one that tells you "it's going to be ok" it's like a comforting mother after a disaster. Things happened, yeah, but it's all ok. We have each other, and that's fine. It tells me that if/when I watch this anime. I'll be happy, I'll laugh the loudest I've ever had. But I'll also cry. Cry. And cry. The ending will be bittersweet. Sad, crying, but also happy. Reflecting on what you've seen.

I watched the whole anime 4 times and i cried all 4 times so i can say im a cry baby but whenever i go to this song i feel happy that they all got to meet her and even though its an anime i actually felt sad and happy. i just watched Anohana for the first time. i was surprised how an anime could make me cry so much. i've barely ever cried in recent years. i cried throughout the whole 11 episodes. i was sobbing, wanting to scream.
Till now, i can't stop crying by watching this. We are 5 best friends from kindergarten but, we lost one of our friend, so we know what it means to loose a friend who is dear to our heart, and really your playing bring back memories. Thanks.
Every time I hear this song it brings tears to my eyes without fail. AnoHana is a masterpiece. Each episode is expertly crafted to give a firm yank on the heartstrings. It is also an incredible example of the difficulties in getting over the death of a loved one, be it survivor's guilt or otherwise, and how losing a common friend can leave a group drifting apart. My best friend who was my roommate in college lost his battle with brain cancer a few years ago. We had a group of five of us best friends, nearly family at college, who got together for breakfast, lunch, dinner and hung out and played games or studied together every day. After his death we all separated. The last time we were all together was at our friend's funeral. Anyway, thanks for the incredible version of this beautiful song.

I am an average guitar player and I am trying to learn this. I know how to read tabs but I don't understand the technique behind 1:59 I know it's a slap strum of some sort but I can't manage to make the 6th string ring whilst making a thud. I've never seen this anime, I've barely heard anything about it. I avoid spoilers by not watching the screen, only listening. This sounds....nostalgic. I've never seen it, but hearing this makes me feel like I have, reflecting on the events. Or it reminds me of my childhood. When we were all innocent and all we cared about was fun.
It has a bittersweet tune. The one that tells you "it's going to be ok" it's like a comforting mother after a disaster. Things happened, yeah, but it's all ok. We have each other, and that's fine.
It tells me that if/when I watch this anime. I'll be happy, I'll laugh the loudest I've ever had. But I'll also cry. Cry. And cry. The ending will be bittersweet. Sad, crying, but also happy. Reflecting on what you've seen.

Every time I hear this song it brings tears to my eyes without fail. AnoHana is a masterpiece. Each episode is expertly crafted to give a firm yank on the heartstrings. It is also an incredible example of the difficulties in getting over the death of a loved one, be it survivor's guilt or otherwise, and how losing a common friend can leave a group drifting apart.
My best friend who was my roommate in college lost his battle with brain cancer a few years ago. We had a group of five of us best friends, nearly family at college, who got together for breakfast, lunch, dinner and hung out and played games or studied together every day. After his death we all separated. The last time we were all together was at our friend's funeral.
Anyway, thanks for the incredible version of this beautiful song.

Thank you so much! Anohana was the first Anime I've watched and still has a very special place in my heart. Especially the soundtrack stuck with me. So baldy in fact that I wanted to learn it on the guitar and thanks to your video I was able to do just that. That was some 7-8 years ago and up to this day is one of the only songs i can play by heart.
