I'm cracking up at the image of Sips being held hostage on a kids rollercoaster. Go on mate, one more, yeah? I'm telling you the 7th time just hits different!
The movie mashup discussion got me unironically excited for some of those movies. It's essentially the same idea as the Avengers. I truly believe that would save Hollywood from the slow death of new concepts.
Wait until they find out there’s now a spinoff of Young Sheldon airing on CBS about Sheldon’s older brother who had a kid at 17 with a 29 year old woman.
I for one am offended they just abandoned the _99.1, _99.2, _99.3 thing. Jk, will miss that though, made Triforce just a little more unique from all other podcasts.
Lewis with Amity in Jaws being reference to the book/movie of Amityville Horror is bit wrong. Jaws came out in 1975, and Amityville Horror was published in 1977, and films was made in 1979.
But the Amityville killings happened in 1974, so even though the sensationalised media was later, the actual events had taken place. But it still seems like a stretch to connect it to jaws...
Re: Action movie discussion. Heat doesn't have a sequel but one is in pre-production. Michael Mann is not a franchise director. The characters in the movie each have such well thought out back stories that Heat 2 is a book written by Michael Mann and another author. That book is the basis for Heat 2. I'm conflicted. Heat is one of my favourite films of all time for a myriad of reasons and it really doesn't need a sequel, especially 30 years later. You couldn't have the events of Heat occur in the way they do in any other era than the 90s, not only due to the technology used in the film but actually to make the film. It looks the way it does and feels the way it does because it's a 90s film. Another Mann film, Collateral was famously shot on film and digital in L.A. at night and has a particular look. I can't decide if I want a Heat 2 to exist. Like the new star wars sequels, you can't ignore them when you go back to watch the original trilogy. You can't forget things like 'they fly now' or 'somehow palpatine returned' when you watch Empire Strikes Back....
Sips saying Terminator 1 is dogshit and almost blowing his load over T2 is so incredibly regarded. It's up there with Pyrion recounting the story of when he went to see one of Minions movies with his kids and overheard a parent say that was the funniest movie she has ever seen.
Hello, from the Triforce. We have been made aware of the channel. We would like to show you the forgiveness of the Tri and allow you to rename the channel before further escalating into the cult war of which none wish to witness. We are soon speaking with the Leader in regards to the offering of a membership to the leader of the channel, but for now it is best to stay away from any potential blasphemy towards the Great Triforce and the Leader G.

Flax inner boomer shines through yet again xD His unyielding hate for things that obviously wasn't made for him has such chaotic Michael Scott energy!
Can't wait for episode 1000
Damn, I remember when we though Ep 100 wouldn't happen and now we are here 200+ episodes later
The joke is that true Star Wars fans only like two or three out of the twelve Star Wars films.
That dig at NCIS was uncalled for
Incredible lads, welldone, love every bit of this podcast
I didn't realize how far along these regular episodes were recorded in advance since that event thing was nearly a month ago now.
Also HAPPY 300!

Super mario 2 ending was not a dream, it was a stage play.

Batman 89 was paramount in the "invention" of the Franchise.

Completely agree with Sips, I watched terminator 2 first and loved it and couldn't believe how bad terminator 1 was when I watched it
Terminator 1 is a better movie idk what is up with you people haha
Killer Klowns from Outer Space X Little Shop of Horrors
Super Mario Bros 3 was a stage play canonically.

Does The New Testiment count as a sequel to The Old Testiment?
In a way if someone else took over the book and decided to write their own spin off but wanted to honor their roots.

Terminator 1 being bad is a rare bad take by Sips.
