Squash is played with a different ball and they have slightly different rules
yes I tried using a smaller ball but you aren't able to chip the ball up enough on the serve. And this ball is lighter. I tried low bounciness but the ball went nowhere

@@Lethamyr Racquetball does not have any in or out of bounds. Each wall is fair game in racquetball.

You're on a squash court, and the rules for the walls and ceiling are for squash. also squash balls are smaller with less bounce then their racketball couterparts. Take away the little boxes in the serve zone, all the wall markings and increase ball speed and you have racketball!

Okay racquetball and squash are different sports though similar. If you have lines on the wall then it's squash as far as I know.

Since you're already using a squash court - Please make out of bounds like there are in squash ie the bottom "tin" and the upper lines. This is great!!!
and the low lines on the back wall where you can hit it off to get it to the front

So in terms of rules for squash:
On serve, not only does it have to hit over to line on the wall in front. But it also needs to land in opponents half behind the line on the floor.
You was playing it right with the line around the edge, where if it hits the front wall, then side wall over the line, it is a point to the other team.
You did miss the red line on back wall though, about half way up the wall. So there is an out of bounds for the back wall also.
In terms of playing doubles, it is alternating hit, but only one hit per team. So for you lot if Leth serves. Would be like, Leth, Guh, Frank, Lawler, then back to Leth and the order has to stay.
In terms of serving, its like ping pong. Each team gets 2 serves each, regardless of if you win or loose the points. So the serve order would go. Leth, Leth, Guh, Guh, Frank, Frank, Lawler, Lawler and so on.
Also if it hits the red part on the front wall. Normally it goes up as it is angled correctly, but this would also be a point to the other team.
If you hit to ball into the opponent before it hits the wall. This is point to you also. As classes as your opponent obstructing the play.
I don't think i am missing out any other rules.

For serving in squash, the player who won the last pint serves and if you serve multiple times in a row you must alternate service boxes
So in squash is it a strat to try and hit your opponent with the ball? Sounds toxic and I love it.
@@95lucask I mean, its good sportsmanship to not try hit your opponent with the ball. Also you will probably miss most the times and loose points. But yes, ive had a couple of stingers that was made worse when i was told by my coach that they get the point also. Also Jack Brown yes you might be right, i might be getting mixed up with something. Maybe was a tournament rule i went to as not all go to standard rules
Btw, in eu, racket ball and squash are two different sports. Racket ball uses a bigger softer ball, while squash uses a small hard black ball.

Creative idea! I do feel the need to point out that squash and racquetball are two different sports. Although it may be hard to differ between the two sports, you definitely created a squash court here. As a racquetball player I cringed at the first 30 seconds haha

this was exactly like squash, except the red line is out. so when it bounces up on the bottom bit, that means it's out. Also when you serve, you have to serve into the opponents back quadrant of the floor. Other than that you guys had it right with the out of bounds

Great video. Normall only the team that serves in Squash can score (like volleyball) and bumping or blocking an opponent is a redo.

probably my favourite map, it looks so fun and squash is a great sport! Also your rules were correct, if at any point it hits above the outer red line, its a point for the other team.
ahahaha this hurts my head lol, squash is my favourite sport and i have been doing it for almost 7 years now since i was six, all lines are out so every time someone hit the tin (the bit at the bottom) its out, and if it hits the roof it's out, and then the ball can't be hit twice ahahaha, but yk apart from that this has been my favourite video cuz its close to my heart w the sport :) thanks leth

This is amazing, can't wait to try it. But the court line that goes all around the wall that you can't shoot above it goes all the way around. Also on the doors behind you. So don't shoot above that line. And the angled red line low on the frontwall is also out.

I’m pretty sure that racket ball is something COMPLETELY different. Racket ball is the game where you’re in a tunnel and need to hit the ball to the wall behind the opposition opposite you

In Chicago me and my friends always called this game Off The Wall. We used a rubber kickball and would punch or slap it against the side of the building. But otherwise the same rules

Out of all the maps you made, this mode spells every bit of Rocket League game design guidelines i'm aware of.
Too bad it looks like setting up the auto scoring system is not easy. :(
The only thing left to make this more exciting i think is to place boost pads and pills.

I had this argument with Rizzo on his stream the other day but a game is NOT the same thing as a series.
A game/match is 5 minutes of play.
A series is a group of 1, 3, 5, or 7 games/matches.
How can you have a group out of 1 game tho
I dunno bout rocket league editing and custom maps but cant you check which team touched the ball last? because the trail of the ball is in the color of the team that touched it last. Else really good map leth, keep it up!

You can hit it of any wall including the back wall as long as it touches the front wall. it can hit the ground once.
You should speed the ball up in like a slightly slower boomer mode and the walls don't really matter all too much except for the initial wall which must have the ball bounce on it before hitting the floor again. Really cool idea though!
i play street handball im not exactly sure of the rules for indoor racquetball but i've played that a few times too and thats how the people i played with explained it to me.
Squash and Racquetball are totally different sports. They may look similar as a spectator, but are very different to play. Nice map! (squash > racquetball)
Squash and Racketball are two different sports and hence have different rules and equipment, they are not alternate names for the other one.
In squash it's out if it's on the line of an out boundary, but I think for this it's more fun if you count it as in like you've been doing :) (Also in squash if it hits the ceiling it's out)
