I thought BCG treatment for bladder cancer was delivered, not by IV, but by catheter directly into the bladder once a week for 6 weeks. Am I wrong?

20% of it working doesn't sound great to me. I have bladder cancer and just want things back to normal in my life. 😵‍💫

Is this immunotherapy that the doctor is referring to BCG? Or something else? And if something else, what is the name of the drug he is referring to?

There are 5 new immunotherapy treatments approved by the FDA to treat bladder cancer. BCG is an earlier form of immune therapy but is not what Dr. O'Donnell is referring to in this video. Learn more here: www.bcan.org/how-does-immunotherapy-work/
