    ABOUT US -
WHO: We are Gin and Ring, from the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales, Australia. We are World travellers, Adventurers and Searchers. Watch our story here - • Rings Great Adventure ...
WHAT: We’ve been on Rings Great Adventure since 2017 when we sold up and left our childhood town in search of our best life. We live a minimalist life, choosing to collect memories and experiences over things. We care passionately about the environment and wildlife and like sharing our experiences, both good and bad, hoping to learn how we can better appreciate our planet whilst leaving little to no footprints along the way.
WHY: Watching our channel you should see a fair share of highs and lows as we convert vans and buses, travel to new places mostly slowly and sustainably, and try out some epic bucket-list-worthy experiences all while connecting with friendly people we meet.
BONUS: Oh, and you’ll get to know our travel buddies, Taka & Roodi, who travel with us when they can!

It's been 6 years since we decided to make the change we deserved and give ourselves a work-life balance. It's not been easy but the rewards have far outweighed any hardships. This is our journey into a life of adventure. We hope you stick around and enjoy, what we hope, are inspiring accounts of our happiness.

Hi, my husband and I have a 6-month-old and are looking at traveling to Tasmania from Geelong sometime closer to September/October this year, preferably on a day sail because I get badly seasick. Do you have any tips for traveling with a baby by any chance?
E.g. is there enough room for a large pram in most of the hallways and open areas? Are the elevators easily accessible? How much floor space is there in the cabins? He won't care much about things to do on the ship, but it's more for us with accessibility. Thank you so much for any advice you can provide. Cass.

      Hey 👋🏻
There is definitely plenty of room on each of the decks to get around and the elevator is central so very accessible. We did not enter the cabins so cannot give you our opinion on this but our friends that travelled with children in prams said some cabins are more suited than others. We definitely recommend calling and asking before you book or when you make the booking. We called to confirm the kennel details and found the booking staff friendly and helpful 😊
We were both warned the trip would be rough and we’d most likely get sea sick, however our two trips were quite pleasant. In saying this, we did have quells with us to take but from memory we only took them leaving Geelong as we had leftovers from another trip. After this we ran out and when we did feel a little queasy at about the 8 hour mark, we ate some chocolate of all things and this settled our stomachs. It also worked for another traveller who was very VERY green nearby, that and flowing conversation did the trick for us.
But if you do get sea sick, perhaps be prepared with some quells and if you do want them to work, make sure to take them early, while the ship is still steady as once you start feeling sick, it is generally too late for the tablets to have any effect 😜
Good luck with your travels! We hope you have a great time in our favourite Aussie state 💛
