Dark Ash was a great boss, at first I was just blown away by the projectile spam but like any other AI character, stay on them and they fall. Such a good theme too - it has this whole doomsday feel to it. Love it love it, thank you SNK.
Just gotten this game (and KOF12) recently and let tell you, when i first fought this boss, it wasn't the SNK Boss Syndrome that gave me PTSD, it was the fact that this match almost felt reminiscent to fighting Safer Sephiroth in Final Fantasy 7. I say almost, because i never even came close to getting that far in FF7, but damn, this is like a fighting game version of that boss fight.
"Diabolosis" seems to come from the Greek "Diabolos" with the suffix "-is", used to form substantives and that could mean both "Devil" or "Slanderer". Maybe it has a meaning on how distorted Ash's image was and how he came as a noble and courageous hero even after everything he did and by the means he deemed necessary for a better good
1998 - Dream Match 2002 - Dream Match XII (Was revealed in 08, released in 09) - Dream Match XIV/2012 - Dream Match(?) This is becoming a bit of a pattern, isn't it?
I think Ash actually survived, there are some hints that led me to believe this, in Elizabeth team's ending, and some other character's ending as well.
Verse has the soul of the Ex fighter/bosses of the other kof idk, When verse got defeated the soul got released or ressurected. Dont know the detail but i wish goenitz will be one of the soul that got ressurected
Hahah! IKR, I hope to see the Orochi team since they've attended every dream match excluding XII because barely anybody was in that. I sure hope to see Tizoc in with the MoW or Garou team aswell, since he was in a majority of the series. They'll most likely put characters such as Igniz, Mukai and Goenitz in as well, I bet.
@Swampert384 Who knows? Maybe Ash will appear as a secret character or something; doesn't have a canonical impact on the next plot. Or perhaps they'll make a very similar character who plays like Ash. It's really all up to SNK.
I wouldn't have considered him to be gay, but he is strong, which is what makes him more interesting as both a hero and a villain. If you look at all the other KOF original characters, they all seem a little too serious at times. I know Terry is pretty laid back, but he comes from Fatal Fury, so it doesn't count.
Man... I can picture something happening in this theme already. o.o 1st up comes Shen-Wu who's dumb enough to attack Dark Ash wrecklessly and receive a good ass kicking. He's k.o.'d than in comes Duo-Lon and Elizabeth both of them attacking him at once. Duo-Lon gets k.o.'d by an unexpected double flame flip. Than the rest is up to Elizabeth. That's where this song gets more epic by the minute. xD That's only what i see. :3
May he can be revived. After all he was revived in KOF Memorial by Gustab (Shame that he died again) but the point is that may he can return to storyline of KOF.

What mass hatred? I actually started with XIII, and I liked his character. He seemed to be the bad guy, but then revealed he was carryiong out his original mission, just in a different way. Also, he plays really well in the game. Plus, some people still remember him in the series, such as Shroom and Rimello, Elisabeth, and the Yagami team based on their endings.

if your playing any team with kyo just try get half damage done with the 1st two charathers and save your meter then FQC+HK then NEO MAX his ass ;) and try get in afew orochis hah
lol I used k' iori and king to whoop is behind. whooping him with king has never felt better! I kept canceling out moves with the HD enabled and did a bunch of combos on him and made a last minute MAX CANCEL and finished it. It's just timing and precision that's important and make sure no errors are made! >:)
After completion of the main stroy, SNKP have tendency to release dream match for next game. So far, they shown new dot(well it's not exactly dotted characters. They render with 3D model, capture the motion and make as 2D dot characters) of Malin, Momoko, Chang, Oswald, Geese, Heidern(He is 100% joining for dreammatch. Currently Leona is resting after the match) I hope to see B.Jenet again. She's hot

pulling off cancels are easy to me. they are most easy when you have hyper drive on. When you have it on canceling moves out with each other are really easy. when it comes to MAX CANCELS, you have to combine a super move followed by the NEOMAX special. but this can only happen when you are in hyperdrive mode. when SNK put this idea for KOFXIII i knew that it had to be good. online fights are fun too. the main issue is the last 2 stages.
I actually unlocked EX Robert in the XBLA version the other day whilst trying to get every character. If they made Robert fight the same way in the next game I'd main him in a heartbeat. At least I know my other mains Ryo and Benimaru aren't going anywhere. I'd happily trade Ryo for Butt though, he'd make the next game an easy buy.
canceling normals isnt to specials is easy i havent played in awhile and just started again and have a little trouble with doing them consistantly. Yeah hyper drive mode is awesome but depending on my team half the time i try and save it for my last charather lol. Yeah hah i know how to do them its just the timing of the input ive always found hard to get down hah i havent even finnished tutorial mode but it just motivates me to keep practicing and trying. l always thought SNK made Ash just to troll people, he was part of the new hero team but as a protagonist, he's definitely the polar opposite of fan favourites Kyo and K.
Most of the fanbase hated him. I love him and he's been my favourite since 2003 but most of the internet dislike him for some reason or another. Either the fact he's gay, his effeminate looks or that he's said to be the strongest of the villains.

If you play SF4 aswell when you go back to it from KOF 13 youll find cancels to be sooooooooooo much easier
