There were some theories that it was in some post-depression apocalyptic world, which explains a lot of the scenery. I can’t remember much, just that all these really otherwise rich people were forced to dress up as monsters in order to make money because they were all unemployed. I think part of it was that scooby was the result of some experiment that gave him intelligence

Ethansics grunge is more than rock in minor, a bunch here aren't even rock material at all. The closer of grunge is That's 70's show but no power chords nor dirty distortion so it's not.
Vierax I’m talking about the melodic elements. Obviously they don’t sound like grunge songs in the sense of distorted power chords. (which isn’t necessarily a grunge thing either, I’d say loud soft dynamics are really the big thing there but it’s all subjective)

If I recall correctly, they didn't start saying, "hello Wisconsin" until at least the second season. Last time I rewatched the series, it was jarring not to hear it.
They also had that thing where the posters sang in the transitions. I love seeing how different sitcoms were in their first season
