I want one for my 70th birthday
Fantastic review. I will get one. I loved the 607 and was gonna get that one but I only just got into the game of finding myself a digital piano because I always hated them and found them dead to play. I was in Tokyo just now and was looking at their Bechstein uprights. But before I have saved the money for that in some years, I was going to look at digitals. classical pianist taking it up again and therefore need a great piano to inspire me. Like the Bechstein.
BUT: how wrong I was! I was impressed with the Kawai digital pianos I tried here, also tried some Casio Gap-510 and 310 and ap-750 (I liked the 750 most) but overall preferred the Kawai digitals.
But then: I saw a Roland gp-607 and tried it and omg!! I was in love with it. And seriously felt if I get this I don’t even need to get a Bechstein!! Much cheaper and much lighter and it felt inspiring for me to play at. I composed a little song on it. So for me this Roland 607 seems to be enough for me.
But: it’s discontinued and Japan didn’t ship overseas. So: now there is the new gp-6. No brass and I really thought the brass pedals and gold logo and the design of the cabinet on the 607 was amazing. The new gp-6 is way too sterile in design compared to the 607.
But: your review makes me think I can live with that because maybe it’s even better than the warm sounds of the 607.🤞 going to try one today! And probably buy it.
Que timbre lindo! What a beautiful tone...
Too top piano huh.
