Man im soo excited lol were going to sinclair in a couple weeks and i just cant wait! Last year i caught about twelve cats and the three biggest were 10lbs 4ounces 15lbs even And the biggest was 30lbs 7ounces
The "drift technique" works on every lake. Find out where the fish are, channel ledges, flats, or structure, and you should bring home enough to stink up the grease.
Yes, the dam is a good hot spot for the bigger catfish. I haven't tried twin creek yet, but the South Steel Bridge cove is another good hot spot for bass and catfish.
Put in at Crooked Creek, run back south toward Little River or Dam. Go 1 mile, look left see a yellow diving board on a dock at the mouth of a large cove. Fish going out away from diving board toward middle of cove drift-fishing, work outward stay in 30 foot. Anywhere at the middle mouth of that cove in 30 foot should be good. If not go to 35-40 foot of water.
well last time we went i threw my lines out and put them in rod holders from the dock and i was fishing east of goat island but i did use cut bait such as crappie heads and whole small bluegill
