You damn right that Knuck is something to be proud of! I'm a proud Shovelhead owner, but hell, we all want a Knucklehead! Love the content, just subscribed....
That is an early '36, with the notched gear cover. That's the one to have, if you're lucky enough to have a choice. I think the first 300 units have the notched cover. Matching belly numbers? Very cool project, and it looks like you're doing it right. Congrats on bringing this iconic bike back to it's former glory!
Always wanted a Harley but all I could ever round up was a 87 sportster and lost interest lol but if I could of ever gotten that dream it would be what you have and in my house also lol live for chevys and cool vintage American motor bikes congratulations on one cool piece of iron I noticed that 53 Chevy in the picture also definitely cool
Neat as hell! I wish I could find a ULH. I had a 46 UL, sold it to buy a badass Shovelhead Bobber. Which I don't regret, at the time the Shovel was a lot better bike for me, living a real biker lifestyle. Good job, hope all goes well!
I wanted a Norton Command but I have three bikes already so I wasnt actively searching. But the wife and I were walking the pup around the block when a neighbor struck up a conversation about the dog. This guys is a gear head with car projects all over and motorcycles too. a hoarder type. we started talking about the motorcycles when he said there was a 1969 Norton in the back shed and I said what really can I see it. So we go back there tripping over junk and there it was a rusty cruddy blue 1969 I think S with fiberglass tank and halo headlight and the older style steel rusty chrome triple trees. After thinking about it and dreaming three weeks later we dug it out and 1000 dollars, me and the wife pushed it home. It is partially disassembled and missing some items. I found the barrels and head in his piles but need outer primary. head mount, intake, one carb, air box, one rocker arm ,shaft, two valve covers, clutch. headers. he may find these items in his garage I hope. also came with spare short block. started stripping it down. the fun begins.
I’m in Ohio and have a 36 knucklehead that I have owned since 1994. Grover Sassaman from Harley Davidson of Macon Georgia. I have enough parts to put it back together, but many of my parts are aftermarket and I would prefer 1936 parts for obvious reason. If you have any 1936 parts that you aren’t using for your build, let me know what you may let go of. I also took note in the comments that Nicks out of NJ might also have parts that I may need. Thanks
@@lowkey58 I appreciate that. Unless something goes really bad in my life (financially) my son will have my knuckle along with the rest of my collection when I die.

Absolutely, once I get mine buttoned up if I have anything left I’ll reach out. If you ever decide to sell yours let me know as well!
