  • Burlington, Vermont luthier, Creston Lea, builds hand-made electric guitars and basses in a classic American style. This film explores Lea's particular design aesthetic and place in the boutique electric instrument world, as well as his long-time collaboration with artist, Sarah Ryan.
    The film also features James Kochalka (James Kochalka Superstar), Mark Spencer (Son Volt, Blood Oranges), Jason Lollar (Lollar Pickups), and Tim Marcus (Milkman Sound), among others.

    A real artist when it comes to making his own signature guitars. He just made one for a member of the Surfrajettes I really liked.

    These cats are out there and they really raise the bar in terms of making quality guitars! I'm interested in what Creston's got going on, I hope to check one out someday. My fav's so far are Fury guitars out of Saskatoon, Canada. All made by the hands of one man who had a serious passion for the guitar. So much so, he did so until shortly before his passing. I have two of his guitars that he made in his late 70's, 77/78 I think. RIP Glenn. Love an miss ya

    It's a shame he only makes copies of Fenders. He should have his own shape and style.

      He does, he's got two of his own shape that he makes that look really nice unlike some other shapes people make.
