This is how a cab ride should be: no chatter, just the radio and unedited. I’d certainly purchase the entire ride from Harrisburg to Pittsburgh. An interesting comparison to Walt Berko’s cab ride of this route from 1985.

Interesting Conrail detector at 7:29... almost sounds like it's alive.

I caught a Penn Central gondola in the Harrisburg yards. This was in May, 2018.

I'm wondering how come you can hear the wheel flange noise but you can't hear the rail joint sounds, especially going through switches?

It would be great if you can buy an online copy and download this. I don’t even own a DVD player or BLUERAY player.

Wow, that Harrisburg to Pitt route has very rough terrain. It's certainly no help that the tracks have to be shared with all those freight trains. No wonder the trains don't go fast ever. Harrisburg to Philly is pretty seamless and fast, mainly because it's electrified and the terrain/geography is vastly different.

It used to be four tracks in the PRR days which made for faster running as the freight trains generally used the middle two tracks and the passenger trains the outer two but I guess this is progress...
