Is is just me or does anyone else hate the 'bail of the week' feature? and I'm not talking specifically about this edition of 'bail of the week' where fortunately no one was seriously injured.
Bails happen, they are part of training, but mostly they are minor bails, the vast majority of the time an experienced traceur will react to the bail and recover.
Flow gets to promote 10 awesome videos from the parkour community every two weeks, when 1 in 10 of those videos is a bail, this promotes an unrepresentative and negative image of the parkour community, which plays into the negative media narrative as parkour as a dangerous activity.
The last thing anyone wants to do is take risks and get injured, we are not thrill seekers, and adrenaline junkies. The occasions when serious bails do happen, it's because someone is either extremely unlucky ( 1 in 10,000) , or more often that someone less experienced was attempting something way beyond their level, or when they were too tired. That is not representative of the wider parkour community.
That's my thoughts about 'bail of the week' What are yours?
Do you like it as a feature?
or cringe a little when you see it, knowing that you will be faced with more negative preconception about parkour when explaining it to new people, or the media.
I would much rather see 'bail of the week' feature successful bails, where people recover using their reactions and skills, i feel that this is much more representative of the parkour community and the people I train with. Plus it would help other people learn how to bail correctly.
I welcome your feedback and comments on this.

+TheEnrieb I think you're over-thinking this. First, The Flow Show can display more or less videos as required; we aren't talking about Government policy. They could have 10 videos plus one bail if they wanted to, so that point is irrellevant.
Second, I think it's absolutely ludicrous for you to regard parkour as being anything *but* a dangerous activity, unless you're simply training Precisions between lines on the pavement. Let's be realistic here, with the exception of learning and drilling the basics, the chance for mistakes that result in serious injuries is *significantly* higher than in many common sports/activities. It's like pretending that Skateboarding has an extremely low injury risk, because if you only cruise from A-to-B it's pretty tame, ignoring the reality that nobody does just that.
You're dealing with an environment you can only control to an extent, expecially if you're passing through an area you haven't already scouted and assessed thoroughly. For instance, a couple of weeks ago I was going for a run at work, and I tacked off a stone block to get past some slow people blocking the path. Tamest move you can imagine, off a small block at a relatively slow speed, during the day but in the shade. What I didn't notice was that the block had a bolt hanging out that was the same colour as everything else, making it virtually invisible whilst moving. Unluckily, my shoe snagged on the bolt unexpectedly, and I hit the deck. Courtesy of my training background I took the impact like a pro, but someone else might have been really hurt.
That's the type of 'minor' mishap that can occur; what happens when you add actual speed and height?
The fact that most Traceurs don't kill themselves or break bones 24/7 is a testament to their skill and concentration, but it in no way makes the sport 'not dangerous'. I don't cringe at the idea of explaining what I do to people, as I'm ok to accept their view that it's dangerous, and I agree that some parts of it carry more risk than others.
That aside, I like the Bail of the Week because I've been there too many times myself, and I can can look back on my own failures and laugh. Mental tenacity and balls are a big requirement of the activity, so I think it's ok to enjoy watching the failures as much as the successes. Celebrate their will to persevere in the face of the fear of further errors; getting back on the horse is half the battle.
