Don't ever try and grab a wild cockatoo if one of them latches onto your finger you will be in some serious pain. I've seen them brake pencils in half like there butter so there not even trying, have some respect and you will keep all your fingers lol!
Because they've never felt the power of their beaks, otherwise, they wouldn't be putting anything fleshy near them. I rescued an umbrella cockatoo 15 yrs ago and can tell you the body language is saying 'leave me alone, look but don't touch'
