- On my last day in Jordan I pay a visit to As-Salt from Amman. Perhaps the most underrated city in the country, the picturesque UNESCO listed former capital feels like a living museum of Ottoman architecture.

In just a couple of days time I'll be posting my first video from a new country and continent in 2022, so stay tuned. Likes and comments are as always, much appreciated. See you soon!
I always enjoy your videos .. safe trip

@@JustTunes31 All will be revealed very soon!
As a person from as-salt this is a amazing video to learn about as-salt. Thank you brother.
Beautifully presented and filmed, such a fantastic glimpse into a part of the world I know nothing about. Thank you.
Thanks James!
Pure Love here.
Thank you so much to remind me I have to go back to Life and Love.
Hail Jordan🇯🇴❤.
Thank you for visiting my hometown! Hope you enjoyed your stay here.
When I think of the kingdom of Jordan 🇯🇴 I think of the Bible, when our matriarch Abraham left his land of Mesopotamia modern day Iraq 🇮🇶 to the land promised by God to him, the tribe of his nephew Lot and the tribe of Abraham were nearly about to kill each other over their herds food, and Abraham decided that Lot would choose were him, his wife and children and their tribe in which direction they will go and so Lot headed east into the land of Moab across the river Jordan which is now modern day Jordan 🇯🇴 and also king David's grandmother was a Moabite woman. A lot of people in the west don't know that how surprising how many people in the kingdom speak fluent English and that the late kingdom Hussein married an English woman his son King Abdullah is half English half Jordanian. Anyways thanks for the video 📹, stay blessed my friend.
I studied at Albalqa university ( which is located in AlSalt city)..
This video truly brings up a lot of warm memories 🥰🥰
Thank you 💝
Jason, these tours have been so very fascinating, thank you!
Glad you've enjoyed them.
I really enjoyed your Jordanain trip and look forward to your next adventure!
Stay tuned!
I added As-Salt to my places to visit on my trip to Jordan! It looks so welcoming, historic, and atmospheric.
I'd say, from the looks of it, it's definitely a place I would visit ! I'd be surprised if it isn't a tourist destination for Jordanians ! It's so adorable. Nice discovery 👍
Lots of Jordanians go there regularly I’m told.
Lots of love from India🇮🇳
Thanks
Very beautiful view of Jordan 🇯🇴
Dude why didn’t you go to Road 60!!!! You missed out on some amazing & beautiful views
May I ask where road 60 is located please and what is it famous for?
Enjoyed your Jordan trip very much! Yes, although I wish you do a second trip to Jordan some day! Many other places like The Quiet UNESCO heritage town of Madaba full of Byzantine churches with EXQUISITE MOSAICS, buried ancient Roman temples, Mt Nebo, Ancient Girasa ( one of the best preserved Roman towns) built by emperor Hadrian, Aqaba, The Dead Sea, ......all are very well deserving sights in Jordan. You will see them I’m sure!
I’m sure I’ll return in the future. Thanks for the tips though!
@@JasonBillamTravel 👍👍
I was thinking the same thing. I can't believe he was so close to Jerash and Aqaba and didn't visit either of them. Those places are far more interesting than this As-Salt city. I see nothing underrated here. He also missed a lot of stuff in Wadi Rum, and had a little bit of bad weather, and the poor lighting didn't show the Treasury in all its glory. He 100% needs to revisit Jordan. lol
I love his content, and I know everyone has their own style, but sometimes I wish he would spend more time in one place and cover it thoroughly, instead of just spending a few days here and there. 30 days in Kenya, but only a few days in Jordan? Jordan is far more interesting than Kenya.
@@briantravelman exactly! Madaba, Jerash, Mt Nebo, Dead Sea, Um Quais.....Lawrence of Arabia famous train attack location......so much he missed! I spent 10 days, and still could not see many Desert castles! Jordan is so rich in Early Christian, and Byzantine history! Definitely a true traveler should not miss those sites.
My thoughts exactly, and there are so many FUN tour guides here - you really missed out on the WARM & FRIENDLY HOSPITABLE PERSONALITY of the Jordanian people. The gulf of Aqaba region has a lot of chill beauty and venues to offer besides diving. The real Mt Sinai is not far south in Saudi and Petra is the real "Mecca." Moses and children of Israel crossed over at Nuweiba beach on the Egyptian side & chariot wheels covered in coral there as well as Solomon's pillars on eithr side. You MUST come back again ater researching these things &; >
Good luck from 🇩🇿❤️🇬🇧
Cheers!
I remember you saying you were not sure if you could fit Salt in so glad you did. It looks amazing from what I've seen of it on the net. I know currently you're in Kenya, hope you can also go to Sudan. It will perfect weather wise this time of year.
Very nice video 👍
Glad you like it!
Loved your Middle East trip! Fantastic journeys and incredible views. Thank you, stay Blessed.

Hi Jason I really enjoyed as-salt Jordan. A place that iI may not be able to visit but through your video greatly appreciated. Thank you.
AlSalt is actually very beautiful ❤❤🇯🇴
I enjoyed your walk around Salt, which i visited on a day tip in September Pity i never discovered that rooftop cafe By the way i was working in Amman 77-81 and watched the Marriot hotel being constructed. Keep up the good work.
That’s pretty cool. Thanks!
Thank you for showing my city and my culture

Appreciate that, means a lot!
That female is incredible. What a smile. What a sweet way of speaking.
I love As-Salt. I definitely need to check the places you went to. Thank you.
I did a day trip to Jerash and saw the Roman ruins there. It was worth it.
I need to visit Jerash next time.
Kerak castle perhaps? The infamous crusader stronghold of Raynald de Chatillon!
Next time!
Fascinating City indeed 👌. Loved Your Jordan Content 😀. Super Excited to see where 2022 will take You. Stay Safe & Well Jason.☘✌.
Cheers Levina. Announcement in the next video, coming soon!
Thanks for the Jordan series 💙💙
Looks they are pretty chill with the masks. How much are the PCR tests and availability? I was there in 2019 as it was shutting down. Would love to go back. Direct Flights from Chicago.
They weren’t expensive. For my flight back to the UK I needed a PCR test and it was only around $30, compared to the UK that’s a bargain!
@@JasonBillamTravel Same for Dubai $30 last month. Going out of Chicago was $235..Most stressful part of traveling these days
I really enjoyed your Jordan trip, wished you picked up Arabic words and interacted more with locals.
Thanks for the suggestions. I met a few locals in Amman, though the last few videos from Petra and Wadi Rum were more of a touristy nature. But I'll try to push it more in future vlogs.
Shokrun ya habibi Jason!
I always enjoyed your vlogs Jason keep going bro I am your funs bro 👌👋✊
Amazing, Jason! Thank you so much,
What is the name of the Coffeshope on the top of the city wirh that amazing view?? Or where is the location?

As-Salt looks quite interesting, Jason. Now that you're back in the UK I hope you get a good rest (and another martini or two) as you plan your next adventures. We can't wait to learn where and when...
Thanks! All will be revealed very soon..

Wow thats cool room hotel.. So make me very comportable sleep in there..
I was spoilt!
You are such a sweet person, Love your Jordan trip. Lots of love from Assam ❤️, india. Hope that someday you will visit my place.
Thanks Alex - would love to visit some of the states in North East India.
Stunning place! I live in Cyprus, I feel guilty for not going yet, being so close by! 😅
That is very close. I went to Cyprus with friends in 2013, but that was only to touristy Ayia Napa. Need to go back and explore properly!
I’ve been in here October it was such a beautiful historic city with some break-taking views from the top
Sounds good!
Hi bro Havent you been to dead sea ?!
Great content I do appreciate when u give cost of things….thanks
Mariott guest room and the hotel decoration is superb. The hill view of As salt is nice
This is the only gulf country that i might not get to go to much as i really wanted to.
Una de las Joyas aún poco visitadas de Jordania. Verdaderamente As Salt es preciosa. ❤🇯🇴🇦🇷 En mi perfil tienen videos e info del viaje a Jordania en 2023. GRACIAS POR MOSTRAR ESTA HERMOSA CIUDAD.
I'm living there 😊
Another fascinating place. How about that hotel. You deserve the luxury. John in Chicago
I was lucky to stay there for a few nights!
11:00 insane
So peaceful 😍
thank you for the video. where can we get a local guide?
Jordan "is quite an inexpensive country?" - On the contrary, Jordan is one of the most expensive countries in the world and I can say that because I know what is an expensive country, I live in the most expensive city in the world: Tel Aviv and Amman prices are very much the same or even more expensive!
He said "expensive" not "inexpensive".
When will you back to Algiers? I hope I would meet with you someday.
One day I hope.
great video!!! what is the name of that cafe with stunning view over the city? thanks!
I thought that Jordan was closed to tourists? Is it open now??
As far as I'm aware it's been open for a while.
Are you sponsored? :) Because the Marriott is expensive!
I love your videos Jason. What about Brazil on your next trip?
That's a great suggestion. I'm thinking to go during the time of Carnival next year, but let's see.
Jason,
I have been watching your videos for awhile; yet another nice piece of work.
Just curious, is it possible these days to cross from Jordan into Israel? I would presume that this would mean that land travel by way of the West Bank or Aqaba to Eilat would be open. Thanks.
Hery Steven, I think it is possible. Maybe Aqaba will be the easiest place to cross from, as it's a touristy place.
11:10 goosebumps.
Nice Vlog Beautiful 👌👌👌👌👌👌
Welcome to my city 😊#AlSalt
My god bless you bro
Good video
MashallH, beautiful
أنا صَلـتِ alhamdullillah
Jason, can i know how you get the guide to accompany you. Kindly give us the info please. Many thanks
Ther are 1000s of guides - many of the taxi drivers give you their cards and will offer to take you anywhere.
why were you talking o n that crowded bus spreading air vapors and possible Covie. you should have waited to insert audio later
Research, man. There is no danger - mask cannot keep viruses from escaping. It's equal to keeping mosquitos out with a chain link fence. It is common knowledge or people ovr 40 when education was decent and is standard medical training.
Hello, I love your videos. One of the reason why I came to Jordan. I just arrived today. Is there a way I could get Salma’s contact perhaps she could help me get around as I do not know Arabic.
Fatima*
Hello Jason B
nice
Try to interact with local people more ,,, but quality of video is good....
Aaaahhaaaaaa pak gubernur Yaman :

How many days visit would you say is ideal in order to properly experience Jordan would you say Jason?
1-2 days in Amman, a day to journey down to Petra, a full day at Petra, then 1-2 days at Wadi Rum. If you have time you can fit in a trip to the Dead Sea on your way back up to Amman. 1 week - 10 days depending on how much time you can spare.
@@JasonBillamTravel thank you!
2 weeks, minimum - a month. You must not skip the gulf of Aqaba, and there are so many ancient places from north to south. Dont come when too hot.
All right, please travel to Iran, we sincerely welcome you
💚🇮🇷
I’d love to one day!
And the kings are Abdullah second ,Hussein , tala, Abdullah, and Faisal this is correct order
Btw I live in Jordan and last Wednesday it heavily snowed
Oh wow. Was that in Amman?
@@JasonBillamTravel Yes Amman, Salt, pretty all over the country (even Petra!) It would be something to see Petra under blanket of snow (not sure if it usually opens when it snows!? Snow is an annual thing in, Jordan Jan / Feb.
yes in Amman happens every Jan but this year was heavy one
Hello Jason, I really enjoyed your videos 🌸 . but when you're with a Muslim you'd better say bismillah befor drink smthng . bcz saying cheers and clink glasses are not permissible in Islam .
I am wondering. I want to become world travel youtuber. Most guys are doing and women are bit rare. Do you know why? Or can you tell me difficulties some?
I'm not sure why exactly, perhaps it's a matter of safety - but you'd have to ask a girl. Why not give it a gp?
@@JasonBillamTravel Thanks for your replying and your videos. I always enjoy you videos! Have safe trips!
