Good afternoon, neat looking sheet metal work. I have made some lazer poles to make perfect squareness. I level the vehicle and use it for maintaining a perfect center and datum line. They work great for painting stripes and two tone paint. Take care and thanks for the video.
Was a nice day temperature wise on Wednesday and Thursday. Good thing you know what your doing. I could see where that radiator support could give an average joe a big headache.
You work with metal like artists work with other media.... would love to have had you redone rusted rear trunk panels and body gaps on my ‘70 Boss.... might still have it then.
I talked to Ken and Tom at MTF about the full frame, radiator support, and apron installation. Tom suggested watching your videos. I have the frame and new floors installed in a 1968 and am about ready for radiator support and apron top installation. I used Ken's reference numbers to level the car body and to set the height of the frame from the ground. I dry fit the fenders and had a good door to fender gap. But, I noted that the radiator support was not vertical and the apron panel fronts would have to be cut to fit to radiator support. Your bend to the support would seem to fix this problem ( and the radiator would be vertical) and I suspect the fenders would fit better to the two holes in the radiator support. Do you agree? What is the vertical distance from the top of the front of the frame rail to the top of the radiator support that you use? Any insights would be appreciated.Thanks.
Are you using a spot weld timer mode on your welder or have you just got it down you just do it My miller MP250 has a selection of cups for inside corner outside corner flat spot welding And it has a separate toggle switch on the gun for toggling between a bunch of memory settings or increasing/ decreasing wire speed or increase/decrease voltage May be a more in depth as to how you are doing your Do you ever back up the metal with copper to prevent blow threw
Thanks for putting more of these on the road! I was reading a forum where a shop built a fastback with all new metal, including the dynacorn frame. I was really naive, I didn't realize much work the new stuff takes to get it all right, I assumed it was more plug and play. Do you have the proper measurements anywhere to share? You've made me paranoid that mine isn't squared up properly.
You can find mustang frame measurements in the automotive manual. If your car goes down the road straight and your doors shut, then I think you can call it good. Gary
Hi, - what is the difference between a restoration and a complete newly built shell? (Is it just about having the old original vin plate?) great video as always, live long and prosper dude!
I think you are correct..restoration uses the original title..and VIN...a prebuilt shell might be harder to register .. especially if moving a VIN over is not allowed where you live.
Have you considered a spot welder? With all of the cars you do you would save countless hours removing the weld grinding step. I really enjoy watching you convert nothing into something.
Arnaud if you do any welding it's a matter of time that you'll get Arc flash that will burn your eyes what has happened to me is that I got art burn by just being in a workshop where ark welding was going on wasn't directly looking at it was flashing off the walls an old fella told me when I came to work the next day to help with the pain was cutting potatoes in half and stick them on your eyeballs sounds funny but it works
Is there going to be any what I would call 'Signature Steel' in this body shell when it is finished, namely a piece, however small, of the original car? - include it to 'honor' the original in'car'nation of the vehicle :)

it is the most beautiful car in the world😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Very clean work! Watching you build these bodies is like doing a factory tour at Morgan Cars in Malvern.
MAN!!! You are a absolute genius at what you do!. Car building at its finest...💪🏽👍🏾
Thank you!!
@@petersonrestorations audio is off..cant hear what you are saying..
I really admire your mastery of these Mustang shells. You have some serious chops.
Incredible work Ben.
You got it coming together looking forward to seeing you're next video thumbs up 👍.
Fun to watch, Ben! 👍🏼👍🏼
You do Beautiful, Strong Work. If I had the money, I would have you build me a 1966 coupe
Inspiring watching you build ☺️

the car of my dream that will never come true😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Shes beautiful! Good work!
Un trabajo muy limpio !
Love your videos. For some reason every time I try to watch in wide screen. The audio is very low?
I always ask these guys to install these new front "clips" where do you put the factory serial tags?
Nice work my man!
Did you previously square up the front before you welded to aprons on? I may have missed that in the video or are you just that good 😁
Curious as to why you do not have made a custom rack to build off? Wouldn't it save a bunch of set up time and measuring?
Great series, I love it thanks !, would it not make more sense to have the apron tops and inner fenders all one ?, 🤔🇮🇪
did you notch the fender apron for the bend you made?
What's the measurements from the cowl to the front
Great work, Are you interested in doing a rhd 67/68 . Would love to have your work displayed in australia
So the battery is going in the trunk?
What kind of welder do you used ?

Another precision work of art. Q: Is this an existing customer's car and will it have wheels when it leaves your shop?
it is sold already, will not have wheels when finished
@@debrajohnson3391 : Thanks for the quick reply and info. Hope you all the very best and enjoy the channel.

I'm using a Lincoln mig welder for everything. No blow through

Do you have the proper measurements anywhere to share? That's FUNNY Send $500,000.

You need to try cleco's. Make it much easier.
Hi I tried emailing a couple of times....did the 65 fastback sell?
Amazing
Is this a hobby or do you do this full time? I have to say, your one hell of a fabricator, and know your way around a Mustang chassis!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I hope you get an answer, I’m curious too

Yeah they work great, but I think the cost of a NTSB spec'd tool might be cost prohibitive.
Resistant welder is the beat
So how much of it is still original steel?
Why between 4:50 and 6:27 you didn't use your welding helmet? Isn't it dangerous for your eyes?
If you close your eyes it's no problem, I do it all the time
Arnaud if you do any welding it's a matter of time that you'll get Arc flash that will burn your eyes what has happened to me is that I got art burn by just being in a workshop where ark welding was going on wasn't directly looking at it was flashing off the walls an old fella told me when I came to work the next day to help with the pain was cutting potatoes in half and stick them on your eyeballs sounds funny but it works

The entire windshield frame/A pillar structure, as well as subroof and inner rear quarters are all original steel.
I think you guys are only slightly ahead of Leo and his rebuild of the tally ho as far as original body.
Audio is off!!...
Loving the build but you need to invest in a new 🎤
I've sent a couple emails, would like to talk to you about doing a car for me.
Man hurry up with the next one it’s a page turner lol
Starting to look like there's nothing left of the original car
