This is my first KLM model and my second MD-11 model.
I pre-ordered this from Jetwaymodels.com as part of the Gemini Jets September releases announced in August.
This is a highly anticipated model to commemorate KLM's last MD-11 flight, so get yours before they're gone as they're very popular. I highly recommend this model because it is such a great airline and the detail is very impressive.

Well what do I say. An end of an era comes the cost of personal grieving... It's not a nice time in aviation especially when you loose an amazing aircraft such as the MD11.

P.S... The APU exhaust is underneath the aircraft where you pointed out an "escape door" to be... there is a whole just to the side of that:)

Thank you so much btw there are a lot on the way including a 787-9 soon but I'm having a couple of renderibg that should be fixed soon. Thank you, now I know I where the apu is. Got mine today from ebay. I bought it on late April 2016 but II had to wait one month till the customs office in my country let me pick the package...
I Love this model. I paid US$149 + US$16 shipping (worldwide)
That's a great price for a sold out model. I don't like customs because it really can take a while for the package to be cleared.

The MD-11 has three landing-lights. One is on the nosegear, the other two are on the side of the fuselage. They fold out when turned on and are retracted during flight :)

I just stopped getting other models like Phoenix and Skymarks btw don't get me wrong they make fantastic models but I need more detail so which model in KLM brand I want a KLM what plane and new livery or old livery? I personally love the 747
747 in the old livery by Inflight 200 or the 787 by Gemini Jets. Absolute winners.

Lovely i wish i got it when it came out now its sold out and on ebay it is like $340 AUD
Ebay prices are ridiculous in my opinion especially from private sellers.

I recently got my off ebay and I noticed the tail engine is missing its fan blades. Are there supposed to be fan blades there?
+Max W MD-11 models made before the second half of 2015 do not have fan blades on the number 2 engine. So yes it's supposed to be like that for this particular model.

Yes, JC Wings made it in the flaps up and flaps down versions.

Well Gemini made this livery and JC Wings made the special liveries for this aircraft. I prefer JC Wings slightly more because they're more customised towards the model.
Beautiful aircraft, but I think I prefer the chrome AA livery on it. how about you?
I prefer the last Varig livery.

They have an APU but it is hidden
This is correct. The APU exhaust is located at the aft right side of the tail cone/fairing, under the right stabilizer. The Apu housing is shown at 12:20.
