That's quite harsh, but thanks for sharing your feedback. We are trying to understand how people receive beuty and that might not please everyone. There was no aspiration nor ambition to butcher Turner's work, and at no point we wanted people to think this is how The Artist composed. Public domain's art is ofter reproduced on mugs, mats, hats, t-shirt and aprons, they are cut and reframed. We can decide to get offended by it every time or embrace the symbol they became in our daily life. But as I said, thanks for sharing your feedback, it is of great value regardless of the tone.
If you showed a complete image of a painting followed by 'closeups' of different areas within the painting, a viewer would have the 'context' from which to appreciate the details. What you have done here would be a joke if it wasn't so disrespectful of the skillful compositions created by JMW Turner. You've also shown a misunderstanding of what a "work of art" is. It's NOT a bunch of disconnected 'snap-shots' of details that happen to catch your interest. This is not a "Virtual Gallery", it's 'visual sampling' and no better than music sampling which some consider unlawful because it's used to monetize other peoples creations while distorting and/or destroying the original meanings.
Here's an idea: cut the paintings into parts to destroy itheir composition and make people think this is how Turner composed. Butchers insult the art and artists by misrepresenting the paintings.
Wonderful, thankyou for making available all Turners paintings
Amazing video!
Wow !
These are not what Turner painted. They are just scraps cut from his paintings.

As I said to the other comment, thanks for your feedback we are still trying to understand how majority of people like the paintings to be reframed.
