    Keeping your muscles metabolically active has been pretty good for nutrient partitioning and body recomposition for me ever since I started doing Wenning Warmups and other mini-workout circuits for 20 minutes at a time, separated from my main strength or dynamic training for the day. Just ultra high volume and training density, minimal mental and physical intensity
    Been great for my joints too

    Yes, you can gain muscle in a caloric deficit

    • @prisonmike3856
      @prisonmike3856 3 года назад +6

      You cannot build muscle without sufficient calories (energy) for your body to carry out protein synthesis. It completely depends on the size of the deficit.

      @@prisonmike3856 You can build muscle but on a deficit, but I completely see what you're saying. If a twig person isn't eating enough, they will struggle to build muscle, but if a fat person with excess fat doesn't even enough, they can build muscle since the body will use the excess fat as energy. Assuming both people in this example are beginners.

    I was skeptic about *Agoge Diet* because I thought that I would have to eat only broccoli to lose weight. I am eating only food I like and still losing weight.

      I did 24lb on 24lb off in 26 weeks starting weight was a skinny 13st 5lb at 6ft 2 having lost 36lb within a year... not caring but when I seen the scales at 13st 5 I was gutted and realised my care level had dilapidated. I ate about 3500 cals but was training with a new rep range and wasn’t resting between sets I chose to squat lunge or deadlift to keep CV going NATTY

    • @LamarEdwards00
      @LamarEdwards00 3 года назад +2

      I never said it was impossible! I said it's VERY HARD without the use of PEDs. I guess I should have capitalize VERY HARD so it didn't get over looked. The people who have never used gear wouldn't understand how much easier it is on gear to keep your muscle and cut fat... most if not all steroids are muscle sparing. I think It's great that a lot of people choose to stay Natty! But if you have never been PED's you wouldn't understand what I'm saying.

    I'm new to the "bodybuilding/hypertrophy training" side of RUclips. Does anyone know who these guys are? I mean, that one would be inclined to see them as credible sources. I say this because I can't tell that either of them has ever really trained hard. They look around my age or a little younger, but... I've never seen any other content. 🤷🏿‍♂️

    I definitely agree that the term alone with "bulking" is unattractive. But what does the absolute most damage I think are the influencers who go super hard on their bulks and put on massive amounts of fat during it. Sure they go on huge cuts afterwards but those super thick bulk photos do NOT do the process any favors.

      these guys aren't scientists or paper reviewers so their way of explaining it isn't wrong.
      it's just that it's already been proven that you CAN gain muscle or lose fat in either way. it's not a crime to un-updated in science literatures, especially in training, unless you're consciously doing it.

  • @ryanreviews8566

    J. Nippard already debunked this "building a house" explanation. It's possible, just not the most efficient way unless you're new, have extra fat or a returning athlete.
    on the flipside, most people overshoot their calories when bulking. so they end up with way too much fat for the muscle gained.
