Actually what we need is not just a trailer, but also detailed, yet easy to understand in game tutorial. Without good tutorial, new players will give up Dota 2 after first or second game.

Still have my blood stone "thanks for being in the beta" item that I don't know what to do with. Still love this game. I've taken breaks and will probably take a break in the near future, but man this game is great! I started Playing LoL and it was fun, but the terrible balancing, rigid stale meta and riots inability to stop making heroes to balance their dang game left me wanting. So the DOTA 2 beta came and I slowly played less and less LoL and more and more DOTA. DOTA is more dynamic WAY less rigid in it's meta, and every time I learned a new hero I thought "Wow this guy is overpowered." LoL is a fun game. I know us DOTA fan boys like to down play it because it's the McDonalds of MOBA's, but It is fun to play. It just can't hold a candle though to what DOTA has to offer. Sure DOTA has a learning curve that is a sheer cliff face, but man is the view spectacular at the top (by top I mean just understanding the game not being 5k ;] necessarily). So if you have never played DOTA and are wondering "Man Should I try this beast?" to you I emphatically say yes. Come and play a game that is competitive, and vibrant in every aspect of the words. My one piece of advice which goes for more games than just DOTA is if people are being trolls/douche bags then just mute them, and learn from your mistakes. That is the best way to get better at DOTA, and most of all HAVE FUN! Win or lose just have a good time. Much love to everyone this TI7! GO OG!

A few words Dont chase people too far Look in the map frequently Practice your last hits Try to have less than 4 deaths every match ( except support role ) Learn how to carry ( be patient, dont get caught , buy your own wards and detection.its not that expensive. ) Calculate your probable damage output from spells amd hits. Look at enemy inventory Learn how to push-hide-tp to diff lane- Oh wait this is too long :V
I've been playing Dota 2 since 2014 And honestly, I'm still trash. Dota is known for its higher learning curve conpared to LoL LoL is easier to learn than Dota. It literally took me 2 years to get decent, but still not enough. But the challenge is what keeps me going. This also explains why there's more "kids" in LoL.

But in fact, learning these basic mechanics changes your mindset and makes you better not only in Dota, but in other games, making you ready for hardcore challenges. But more important part is tactics and decision making. -- the same rules work not only in strategic videogames, but in the real life too.

Cymen league just doesnt have the same feeling as dota 2, dota has a bit more intense feeling and alot of pvp but league feels like i am playing a shitty flash game, dota 2 does not have that 'free game' type of feel

LoL already did crowdfund once, they only raised 2 million (i believe?). Just because LoL has more players doesn't mean it would crowdfund more money. Most of the LoL population are children, who don't have jobs, who can't donate unless they steal mommy's credit card.
