Thank very much. It's a good hike on the edge of the Rockies. There are much larger mountains to the west, but still nice views on this summit. And the weather was perfect. I hope your recovery is going good, and you will be strong and pain-free when all is said and done. Take care.
Hey thanks Thorn. Yeah it's a good hike on the eastern edge of the Rockies. I caught it on a very nice day... not a cloud in the sky. Hope you guys are doing well, take care man.
The Alberta Rockies are indeed great... even the small mountains on the front ranges. That said, it's hard to compete with the beauty of B.C. Thank you for watching.
was a spectacular view on the trip, the wind was challenging but the clear view was worth it, kudos, would take me most of day to do that, you rock, do you prefer that bit of snow for footing than bare trail or really makes no difference, it was lower snow than I was expecting.
Yeah there has been very little snow this year, even in the mountains. No need for snowshoes, but the hiking crampons worked great. There was enough snow to bite in and get a good step. It is winter, so yeah, I want to hike in snow... obviously summer will be a different mindset. It was just good to be out there. The views are good to see the transition from the mountains to the foothills. Thanks, take care.
Well, at least no sweepers to watch out around the next blind corner 😅 Nice view on top , quite windy thought ! Do you ever do winter camping ? Thanks for the hike
Hey thanks very much Sylvain. No sweepers or log jams here!! Yeah I like winter camping. I try to get out once or twice a year. It's tough to capture on film (batteries), so I only have a few videos of winter camping. Thanks, take care.
Well, I’ve been wanting to hike Folding Mountain for a long time. Apparently, the mountain I thought was it (the one immediately south of the park gates, towering over the highway) is not actually it. So thank you 😆
The mountain you mention sounds like Roche Miette. Folding Mountain can be seen from the hwy east of Jasper Gates Cabins and the Folding Mountain Brewery... towards Hinton. There is a good view by the truck weigh station. It is a very good hike, I would definitely recommend it. Thanks, take care.
Nope, its not Roche Miette, that being the one you can see right in the start of your vid. This got me wondering the actual name of it, and it is Roche a Perdrix @@nickharland3795

Great video. There aren't enough showing this area, so thanks for posting! No need for snow shoes?
Thanks very much Matthew. No need for snowshoes... not this year anyway. The trail was well broken the whole way.

And I bet you treated yourself at the tap room when you got back down 😊
Haha, I had a can of their Wild Mountain Hefe. It was very refreshing!!
