I tried this recipe last weekend. I told my girlfriend I was going to make Carne Asada soup. She wasn't not too excited about me making soup but when it came time to eat she was blown away. She's now asked me to make this for Christmas when our families will be in town. This is definitely one of my favorite recipes and everyone should try it.
Wow, love that Finex.......I live close by to S Pittsburg, TN and I get all my cast iron off the seconds rack at the factory store.......i go about twice a year......the store clerk said all the employees buy the seconds
This would be considered ‘guisado’ in Spanish, a stew. There’s actually plenty restaurants in Mexico that do this type of cooking and serve it with tortillas. Hence the term; Tacos de Guisado. I do this with leftovers. Any sort of meat or bird that’s leftovers, I stew it up and eat it with tortillas. Gotta try this receta…🙌🏽
Got a ton of shit from my bro in law about not marinating the Carne asada in spices and juice. The cattlemen's trail dust seemed odd but by the end... it's perfect. Literally I'd trust Tom to watch my kids and drive my car.
That looks DELICIOUS!!! What a job you have, you make it look so easy I tell my friends about this guy in a hat and beard name Chef Tom and he reminds me of Emeral 👍🏾🙏🏾
The wife and I just discussed what we're doing for dinner tonight and came across this. Well, there's about to be a last minute change for dinner plans. lol
Hey Chef Tom can you do a video on knife sharpening? I have a wusthof knife and the wusthof sharpener and cannot seem to get my knife back to how sharp it was when I got it.
I tried making this tonight and it was delicious, but my soup wasn’t nice and creamy like yours, any tips to get it creamy? My wife says i need to make a rue to melt the cheese in?
I love my pellet grill, but the char on that flank really hit hard on this one for some reason and made me miss the charcoal egg. Also, I might have been tempted to dump the whole steak in there and just live with the consequences of it turning into a stew or chili, but I like to live dangerously.

"Holy beefy goodness batman!" Haha! Love it. Just followed your Carne Asada recipe last week and can't wait to give this a try
Long time watcher...first time commenter. Chef Tom has that 'DAMN' face anytime he taste tests. That's why I watch. Blessings folks

Thanks for the feedback! We're so glad you love it!
Part of me wants to thicken that up into a burrito, man that looks good.
Man, when you dipped the taco in the soup.... I've never been more jealous of anything ever in my life.
"Holy Beefy Goodness, Batman!" Hell yeah! That looks so damn good!
It’s always so easy to tell when Chef Tom really, really likes something!
Made this…fantastic.
I was thinking that would make one hell of a awesome dip and then you dipped! You should have been my neighbor.
So great! Thank you for the recipe. Will be making this for camp weekends!
My favorite part of the week are these videos
Who could possibly thumbs down this video? I cannot wait to try this Chef Tom. Another great video brother.

Definitely comfort food. Love it
I would love to see a cornbread recipe to go with all these soups.
Cornbread recipe is coming soon...stay tuned!
Yea? With jalapeños?!?
I just made this and I have to say chef Tom’s reaction was spot on. So creamy and wants you to the bones. I will be making it again very soon!
Wow, love that Finex.......I live close by to S Pittsburg, TN and I get all my cast iron off the seconds rack at the factory store.......i go about twice a year......the store clerk said all the employees buy the seconds
8 servings? That's a lunch portion for me, Chef. Another great vid, sir.
I'm not much for soups, but I'd eat that one. Looks so good!!😋👍🏼
Sitting here early morning wishing it was supper time. Definitely will be making!

I just finished a three-month long DIY patio project, so back to grillin'!

I should not have watched this,,,
To early to this hungry!!! Note to self (wait till noon to watch chef Tom)
looks good. I've made Rotel dip with sausage before but never thought of using steak in it.
That is some soul warming goodness!
Great job 🤤
Thanks for watching!

What a wonderful soup, just in time for this change in weather.
Looks wonderful!
Would live to see you do a smoke inspired Philly cheese steak... I love your work, you bring a new level of class to smoking...
Here is a recipe for that! www.atbbq.com/thesauce/recipes/video-philly-cheesesteak/
Tip: try taco soup with Tostitos hint of lime chips...it's a game changer!
Omg you threw yourself on this one! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
That cheese sauce would make a nice taco mac & cheese too!
I need this soup in my life! Great Job as usual Chef Tom👍
Thanks for watching!
awesome grills-n-grillin
good ingredients and presentation
That looks DELICIOUS!!! What a job you have, you make it look so easy I tell my friends about this guy in a hat and beard name Chef Tom and he reminds me of Emeral 👍🏾🙏🏾
Yum!
Pueblo chili for maximum flavor and some heat. 👌
The soup looks amazing. Would have done it a bit less thicker than what he made it.
Looks great like everything you make....but this is far from a soup that's a wonderful carne queso! Thanks for sharing👍
Thanks for watching!
The wife and I just discussed what we're doing for dinner tonight and came across this. Well, there's about to be a last minute change for dinner plans. lol
That’s not soup, that’s dip. I am not complaining!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Boss Man I wanted to ask were do you get your cooking gloves from??
Can not wait to try this! Why the chicken stock though? Just what was on hand?
You asked for cooking suggestions:
A 12-14 pound turkey on the Yoder pellet grill...WITH NO BRINE, NO INJECTION. PLEASE!!!
This looks absolutely delicious. Will be making it soon. Unrelated question: what kind of camera(s) do you use?
"Meat crouton" has a nice ring to it.
I bet your beef tallow brisket would be something fun to swap out the flank steak for.
Hey Chef Tom can you do a video on knife sharpening? I have a wusthof knife and the wusthof sharpener and cannot seem to get my knife back to how sharp it was when I got it.
I'd serve as a dip/queso instead of a soup, but looks great
yum
Holy molly
Meat croutons are my new favorite words
Was the knife dull or was the meat was tough? Either way it looked like you had a tough time slicing the flank steak
WOW!
When you run out of tortilla chips... Soup Ya'll!
*adds chicken stock to queso dip
"Why yes, this makes a fine soup"
Mmm soup
Mmhmm noodle soup!
I tried making this tonight and it was delicious, but my soup wasn’t nice and creamy like yours, any tips to get it creamy? My wife says i need to make a rue to melt the cheese in?
That looks great! How about some smoked lobsters?
Not smoked...but here is a grilled lobster recipe! www.atbbq.com/thesauce/recipes/videos-grilled-lobster-tails/
Dude, if we lived in the same town, we'd be best effin friends bro.
I DO live in the same town. Tom is my local HERO!!!
Seems like you eat alone a lot so I am volunteering myself
It's cheese dip, and yes please.
I love my pellet grill, but the char on that flank really hit hard on this one for some reason and made me miss the charcoal egg. Also, I might have been tempted to dump the whole steak in there and just live with the consequences of it turning into a stew or chili, but I like to live dangerously.
What kind of bowls were those?
was wondering if there was a non-dairy version of this?
I'll never understand why anyone would use American cheese when Cheddar is better in literally every way
deelish!
Not a fan of american cheese , cheddar with pepperjack with mozzarella perhaps??? Otherwise perfect video
What is the name of that grill?

@@allthingsbbq all y’all got is blue?
Swear to god, when he put the seasoning in with the peppers and onions, I could smell it. So weird!!!
Man, it's 6 am, I shouldn't watch this shit.
AKA Queso Dip. I don’t think you put in enough cream and cheese.
That’s queso with carne asada not a soup 🤣
Meat crouton… sign me up
What in the Rachael Ray is this???
this is cheese dip
And?
That's what I was thinking. It looks tasty, but it seems like all that velveeta would overpower everything else.
Stopp
that's a stew, not a soup...this guy needs to learn the difference...
Delish..but this is queso for dipping.waaay too much cheese IN MY OPINION..but that's just me
Yeah, this is definitely more of a queso dip than a SOUP soup.. but I'm still making it for a game day soon, so..
More like a queso Dip!!! Not carne asada anything srry 🤷♂️
QUESO SOUP????? Lmaoooo y’all white ppl stop
you lost me at velveta
Ads now?
Nah bruh…let us make our own stuff. Nice attempt tho. Chicken stock in cheese dip is not soup.
I was offended this was called anything Carne Asada
