Less than a 1% chance to make the playoffs on Aug. 1, swept the trashtros in the wild card round, got to a game 5 in the ALDS against the best bullpen in baseball, and had a cy young season from skubal with the 5th lowest payroll in all of baseball. Great season. Go tigers
Not a fan of either team but it's truly a miracle they got so far with what is essentially a AAA league lineup. This is really a credit to Hinch's outstanding managing, good young pitching and the historic collapse of the Minnesota Twins. Detroit is realistically 2 years away from being a true contender. The weakness of the AL this year also enabled them to get in but give them credit for taking advantage. They put the exclamation point on ending the Astros dynasty. Happy the fans in Detroit got to see some home October baseball again. Chin up Tigers fans, you were just 1 win short of competing for the AL championship.
Tiger fan here. The Guards won this series with the Fry homer in Game 4. Chaos and grit and magic was fun for a while, but not sustainable. Good luck against the EE.
The Tigers were not even expected to make the post season in August but they not only made it but came very close to going all the way to challenge for the right to go to the World Series. That is progress and that is something to be proud of. Great season by them even though they came up short. I applaud them for their effort in getting there and showing that anything is possible. 👍

Aj hinch blew game 4 and for some reason Skubal (with a run finally) fell apart.. it was horrid and the Indians are gonna get destroyed by the Yankees just like we would have 😂😂😂😂
